Btw for the lols, make sure to pull out a katana while riding on a bike. I appreciate the idea but the animation they came up with for swinging your blade while riding is hilariously bad.
theres also twitch drops
I hate those being a thing in general but even more so for a single player game.
I agree they're dumb but at least for the clothes it's apparently just watching one of the select streamers for an hour. Just throw it on in a muted tab and move on
There's a sniper rifle but according to CDPR it's identical in performance to an existing weapon.
i dont mind twitch drops...i dont watch the streams, i just have it up for the drop and then close it
Holy hell, they were not kidding with this thing starting with a bang.
Spoiler: show
You can fail the main DLC quest and it locks you out if you choose not to revert back to the prior auto-save
The expansion so far is genuinely impressive. I'm about 1/3 through the MSQ and I'm hooked.
There was a moment at a party during the quest "You Know My Name" that made me stop what I was doing and watch the entire thing. I think it was one of the coolest effects I've seen in a game.
A+ thus far.
I've been taking my time on a fresh playthrough and haven't hit the DLC story yet, but I am so thoroughly impressed with how good the 2.0 update is. The new talent trees, new cyberware system, and general itemization changes are so well done.
There's also a 2.0.1 update on the way sometime too, fixing a few of the assorted bugs added by the big update and supposedly some performance improvements (most specifically for Dogtown)
So finally started to play through this, I bought it at launch but then never bothered since I heard all the shit about it. There are parts where I feel the FPS/game becomes sluggy at times. I open up the options and go to one of the settings to set an adaptive FPS to around 60-70 and once i do that it's pretty smooth but then gets bogged down again and the moment I go back to that option it seems to recalibrate...not sure what's going on? Anyone else encountered this? Running a 6650 XT so not like my GPU is super out of date or anything
This game is like crisis back in its day, where even if you have the best of the best, it can still make your rig bleed. my wife's new laptop has a 4090 and when i went in and just maxed everything was getting 20FPS. It wasn't until i did some tweaks that she was getting 100+. I don't know if AMD has something like Nvidia Geforce Experience, but it does a really good job at optimizing your settings. I have a 3080 in my rig and i wasn't really happy until i turned RT off, but i would rather have high FPS over super pretty anyday.
That's weird, I have a 3080 Ti and almost every setting is on max and RT is on Ultra and in the benchmark I'm averaging 65 Frames, which is fine for this. I could turn it down a bit but aside from one extreme case in the expansion with a ton of particles, I have had 0 hitching.
Absolutely maxed out to the gils cyberpunk (including path tracing) on a laptop 4090 should be doing 60 plus fps unless you didn't touch any of the DLSS settings (both the super resolution and frame generation)
Yeah it's weird, set dynamic resolution scaling to around 75-100. My AMD overlay showing like 8-20 FPS bouncing around. GPU util up at like 95% somehow. Gonna check for new drivers or something cuz something aint right. Got nothing else running. GPU temp at 50C
Edit: Soon as I typed that found an article on Ray tracing. Once I turned that off my FPS jumped up to 60-70. Looking over some steam posts might be a RAM issue. Looks like CDPR games love to gobble more RAM then Chrome.
Happy to report Panam booty is still poppin in 2.0

They released an update today for various bug fixes, but it also broke a few things so beware.
My tier 5+ gorilla arms turned into tier 1, and it apparently fucked up all the equipment/item icons on the Xbox version
