    Paranormal Activity 5 (October 25, 2013)

It shouldn't come as a surprise to you to hear that Paramount Pictures has already greenlit Paranormal Activity 5. They're going to suck every cent they can out of this franchise. I have yet to see the fourth film, but I hear it's just as good as the other ones, so I'm hoping to catch it soon.

The movie will once again be produced by Jason Blum and Oren Peli and the plan is to release it in October of 2013. This movie is separate from the Latino spin-off movie that will be released in Spring of 2013. That movie will revolve around the horrors of the Catholic church. Christopher Landon, son of Hollywood legend Michael Landon, is directing the movie. He previously wrote the spec-script for Disturbia.

Re: Paranormal Activity 5 (October, 2013)

Loving this series, not because of the scares themselves but how they relate them to an overarching story. Much better then how they played out saw imo. I know these will continue to get weaker and weaker, but fuck it I can't get enough. Halloween tradition until they stop making these at paranormal activity XI

Paramount Pictures has set the release date for Paranormal Activity 5 for October 25th, 2013. I have no idea where producer Jason Blum plans to take the story for the fifth film, but the last movie wasn't as fun as I was hoping it would be. I guess it was bound to start loosing it's creepy factor, but as long as it keeps making money they'll keep making them.

Paranormal Activity 4, was the lowest grossing movie of the series, which tells you that the franchise isn't as popular as it once was, but it still turned a huge profit. The movie cost $5 million to make, and pulled in over $187 million. Of course they are going to make more of them! There's also the Latin-American spin-off film they are currently working on as well.
