I don't really see how this tiny niche market is important to note, unless you're just being pedantic. Nobody is making large quantities of money off of things people buy to wear in town.

I guarantee if you start call it 'BoS', you're going to get a ton of 'wtf is BoS' responses.

And it's important to know for SB instead of Equip, because as an exemple, some people get gear for aesthetics(sp) and beeing able to see the gear on a player before buying it for some people can be a +

If the item is going to become obsolete a few patches later, there will not be a resale market for long, even if the items themselves aren't BOE.

Sure there will.

Suppose you buy a multi-meld Lightning Brand, then some other (better) meldable weapon is released. Even if you buy/make a multi-meld of that new superior weapon (or you, say, get a relic), that doesn't make your brand worthless. It still carries a substantial market value.

In contrast, the only value that a BOS lightning brand has (after you get an upgrade) is whatever random materia you get from the conversion. That's a stiff loss if you dropped several million to buy it.

Some Japanese use fraps, but it's mostly because a lot of have issues actually buying the program. A lot uses Bandicam and Camtasia.

Based on SE's previous track record of Console-first, PC-second, absolutely. I haven't seen anything to indicate otherwise.

ARR is being developed on PC first and I fail to see how that is relevant with the amount of options that are clearly locked in alpha.

Yes. Having entire races/clans/jobs locked out is not the same as specific hairstyles etc. If they had more options for Miqote or whatever is available, they'd be in there. I will be very happy if proven wrong.

And for the record, I loathe sliders and the fugliness they encourage so I'm not upset about that at all. I just want more choices.

Except with SE's track record, they haven't necessarily been true to their word with "More Options". Hell if they add just 1 thing, it would be "More Options". This of course is semantics aside of unlocking the rest of the races & classes.

Also that fact that this is being developed for a Console, again sets a limiting bar of options for character creation. Hey I'm all for 100 different hair styles & a color wheel to broaden the base, but it's just not in SE MO.

Well, it's not really indicative of anything else but if you check the video at 2:10 it seems they tripled the selection of voices, from 4 to 12.

I'll believe it when I see it. You can trust someone you've never know who works for a company who produces games for console-first and PC-last and has a reputation for exaggerating-to-outright-lying, but I will not. That's just the way it is; there's no "winning" this little debate. You trust his words, and I do not without hard evidence and proof.

You know how I knew TERA was going to have extensive options via sliders? They released a vid and I saw the proof. You know why I don't trust a thing that SE says? Because the vid that they showed has nothing of the sort in it. If they show a beta vid with sliders and more options, then I'll believe that they're going to implement (or even have the technological know-how to do so) the changes.

I pray they don't include sliders or a color wheel. All you get is fucked up looking characters with fucked up skin tones and hair color. Also, people regreting that they made a shitty looking character but didn't want to spend 2 more hours fucking with it.
