I read that, and I am not surprised really. It'll take time for the Lakers to get their shit together, I don't think anyone really expected them to come out and absolutely dominate from the start of the season but there is little doubt in my mind that they will get good. And it's a shame.

The Mavs should probably trade Dirk now that they dont need him anymore.

Maybe you missed the 2011 playoffs where they won a championship mostly on lineup changes and out of timeout play execution. He coached circles around Brooks and Spoelstra - inserting Barea into the starting lineup after Game 3 of the Finals pretty much swung that series.

After Popp and Rivers, name me a better coach. Let's be real, there aren't a lot of great coaches in the NBA these days.

    Thibodeau!

Next to Mike Brown anyone can be considered a master.

The Lakers will take a little time to gell. The pace that happens really depends on Kobe more then Nash or Howard.

2012-2013 NBA Season: 3 big market teams and the other disgusting teams

No way the Mavs win even one game against last years Lebron.

They won a title cause they were raining 3's and the heat of 2011 weren't the heat of 2012.

    Oh and secret coaches.

Mavs that year were one of the few teams that had figured out how to stop LeBron/Heat, with their seamless switching of man and zone defense, even during a single possession.

They did it in both meetings in the regular season that year too. Chandler keeps LeBron and Wade out of the paint and forced jumpers, while Dirk was unstoppable in crunch time.

Heat were much better against the zone last year by the time the playoffs came around, you can thank the Mavs for that.

    1b: became a master
He's a master for taking a roster with 9 new players, no Dirk or Kaman, and making them look like a cohesive unit on both ends of the court, with only 2 months to do it.

Not for outcoaching Mike Brown, who only got that job because he had the fortune to have LeBron on his Cavs teams.

lol, carlisle is a great coach but if you're gonna use a single, regular season game as the reason why then you are definitely overreacting.

Even with Nash going for a terrible stat line, he got Kobe's FG% up to 75%+ just by being there. Mike Brown just needs to shut up and let Nash run pick and roll though.

And I don't understand why Artest World Elbow is getting ANY shots, even wide open, with this line up.
