They're Secret Service agents, and they collect and warehouse Artifacts, which have the aforementioned strange properties (Not magical, just really advanced and messed up science. Shares a universe with Eureka, where there is no magic).
On that note, is warehouse 13, fringe, and eureka worth getting into at this point?
Eureka is no longer airing, so its a finite investment of time. I enjoyed it. I can't speak for Fringe. Warehouse 13 has been good. I'd definitely recommend it.
It's ok Howie, they don't put any value behind the word bitch so it's not offensive if you said it to them!
some words are worse than others, and I don't mean to equate the weight that "nigger" has behind it with the casual use of bitch, but it's still a degrading term with associated meanings
Not that I give a shit, but you honestly can't equate the word bitch to nigger. One originates from adorable four-legged companions and the other...Originally Posted by Milkster

both are ways to dehumanize, although I do think it's a fair assessment to say that most people have no idea the implications behind bitch and think of it simply to be basically "mean woman"
oed puts it at 1400
quite a bit older than niggerAs a term of contempt applied to women, it dates from c.1400
it also really does stem from essentially slavery, it was basically used for women that weren't kept "in their place"
but yeah, it really is a pretty good, if not entirely precise, comparison
do bitch and bastard contain equal weight?
1400, that's pretty sad news. Women being treated like shit goes back 1000's of years, and slavery does too. It's not a competition, and if there were any continuity in languages, I'm sure we'd have a lovely keeper of a word going back since day 1 for both groups
but yeah, I did note the unfortunate pairing of "oblivious" hate speech
