One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2 (PS3/Vita)

2013's second issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is announcing on Monday that Namco Bandai Games will release One Piece: Kaizoku Musou 2 (One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2), the sequel to this year's successful action game. The game will arrive on the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita systems, although the release window has not been announced.

The sequel will be set in the New World arc of Eiichiro Oda's manga and Toei's anime adaptation with powered-up characters and action. It will also introduce a new original mode, new characters, and new stages. More information will be in Shueisha's V Jump magazine on December 21, and Namco Bandai's booth at this month's Jump Festa event will have a video and a display.

Depending on when it comes out, I'm not to sure it'll have Punk Hazard at all. The Naruto games only go as far as the JP anime, and if OP is going into filler, there's a chance the game might not cover PH when it comes out regardless of where the Manga is at that point.

They're definitely covering the stuff they passed in the first game pre-timeskip (Well, Skypiea for sure, not sure about Thriller Bark, but I don't see why not). There aren't any other major arcs they can cover. Both the first arc where we meet Zoro and the arc where we meet Ussop don't seem all that worthwhile to add to me anyway.

Still though, it doesn't seem like there's much they can add to the game story wise if they release it anytime soon

Welp, based on the 2 recently posted videos, there looks a couple good gameplay changes. Namely having Gear 2nd on it's own gauge as opposed to being apart of the Musou gauge. Also, dem bigger, bouncier graphics for Nami >_>

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 2, the sequel to last year’s One Piece: Pirate Warriors , is coming to PlayStation 3 via PlayStation Network in North America this summer, Namco Bandai has announced.

The game was previously announced for a PlayStation 3 release in Europe this summer, and a PlayStation 3 and PS Vita release in Japan on March 20.

The sequel sees the Straw Hat pirates explore and conquer “wondrous and mysterious” islands, such as Skypiea, while traveling through the New World in the “bizarre realm” beyond the Grand Line. Characters like Luffy, Sanji, Zoro, and Nami will reappear and new characters like Eneru will make their first-ever PlayStation 3 appearance.

“The successful collaboration between Tecmo Koei Games and Namco Banadi Games will provide excitement never seen before, surpassing the previous title with more of Dynasty Warriors‘ excitement and One Piece’s wildly popular adventures,” says Wyman Jung, Associate Brand Manager at Namco Bandai Games America Inc. “Our goal is to bring a fresh and riveting gameplay experience fit for fans aspiring to be the next Pirate King.”
