2013's second issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is announcing on Monday that Namco Bandai Games will launch Project Versus J, the "ultimate Jump game," next year. The annoucement depicts One Piece's Monkey D. Luffy, Dragon Ball's Son Goku, and Toriko's title character. The price and release date have yet to be announced.

Early magazine leaks revealed Project Versus J will be for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. The first time we saw Project Versus J there was a teaser image of Luffy from One Piece, Goku from Dragon Ball Z, and Toriko from Toriko.

The roster isn’t limited to those three characters. Fans will be able to vote on which Jump heroes they want to see in Project Versus J. Shonen Jump magazine also runs other popular series like Naruto, Hunter x Hunter, Gintama, Bleach, and (a long time ago!) Dr. Slump.

Really? DBZ vs One Piece? I know they are by the same people but One Piece Vs Naruto would've been more fair. Of course fighting games don't have "Power levels" though, which makes it so easy to beat SS3 Goku as Krillian.

Huh? One Piece = Oda. DBZ = Toriyama.

edit: I don't see anything wrong with One Piece vs DBZ vs Toriko since a lot of the vs fighting games are mainly fan service.

A brand new J-Stars Victory VS Scan has been released! It features most of the confirmed characters duking it out in a host of screenshots!

Thus far, Gintoki Sakata (Gintama), Kankichi Ryotsu (KochiKame), Toriko (Toriko), Kenshin (Rurouni Kenshin) Naruto Uzumaki (Naruto Shippuden), Son Goku (Dragon Ball Z), Ichigo Kurosaki (Bleach), and Monkey D. Luffy (One Piece) have been confirmed.
