I had the same knee-jerk DNW reaction to this as I did when I heard they were rebooting X-Men. Though I guess First Class turned out pretty good, so meh.

I hope no studio ever touches Civil War, ugh.

I don't know...I think Marvel could do Civil War justice if they owned all their properties. I would love to see Joss direct those movies.

Hopefully the plans for this will tank, like Daredevil/Blade and the rights will revert back to Marvel.

No Fantastic Four reboot will ever compare to the original.

Reed Richards: No, you're right, I didn't. I stayed inside and studied, like a good little nerd. And fifteen years later, I'm one of the greatest minds of the 21st century, I'm engaged to the hottest girl on the planet, and the big jock who played quarterback in high school? Well he's standing right in front of me asking me for my help. And I say he's not gonna get a damn thing, unless he does exactly what I tell him, and starts treating my friends and me, with some respect.
    [Pause]
General Hagen: Give him what he wants.
    [The general storms off]
Susan Storm: I am so hot for you right now.
Johnny Storm: Me too. All right Reed!
Thank you for reminding me how I hated that movie so very, very much.

I don't really care for the Fantastic Four, but a reboot has nowhere to go but up.

This wasn't made to be seen by any audience but simply to hang onto the rights via contractual obligation.

Huge difference from the two movies we got that were intended for audience consumption.

Yet they didn't tell the actors that. It still is one of the best b-movie super hero films, even in it's shitty youtube format.

Chris Evans as Johnny Storm was the only thing remotely making either film. Which is why its heartbreaking to see him in Captain America, since now he shows as much range as a potato.

I liked both of the movies, god some people are just so hard to please. I wouldn't see this in the theaters but def watch it on HBO or something.

It isn't that people are hard to please, it's the fact the FF movies were just plain bad.

    Captain America would disagree.

You should, Galactus is probably the best "Super Villain" in any of the recent super hero movies.

    Excuse me, space cloud

Jessica Alba was awful in FF, part of it having to do with Sue Storm's horrible characterization in FF.

Galactus had a sense of scale, but no characterization whatsoever, leaving nothing for casual audiences connect to. His massive departure from the comic design left the comic fans feeling empty as well; there wasn't even a sideways reference to the purple suit or Kirby-esque imagery.
