One of the reasons they're able to pull off doing what they do is because they know the law (unfortunately) protects them. However, because of this I can never take them seriously because they hide behind those shields. Now, if they decide to take their protests to countries such as, say, China or Iran, and do so constantly, only then will I take them seriously. Until then, they are a bunch of cowards.

St. Rose of Lima Church in Newtown has been evacuated. State police have responded to the church, according to NBC reporter Audrey Washington.

A noon mass was being held at the Roman Catholic Church at 46 Church Hill Road.

Witnesses at the mass said police entered the church and told parishioners that a threat had been made against the church and the surrounding area and that everyone had to leave immediately.

More than a dozen state troopers armed with assault rifles entered the church's education center next to the church, according to Washington.

Parishioners and news media were told to leave the church property.
