Where should I mount this stupid TV?

So I'm going to mount my TV to my wall in one of two places, but never having my own TV mounted to a wall before I am not quite sure where to put it.

I have two options. Eye-level on flat wall like most TV's seem to go, or up high in the corner above my computer desk.

This is a bedroom TV, and is watched from bed and sometimes from the computer. It is hooked up as a 3rd monitor, but due to being an inferior, low resolution of only 1080p, I only use it for movies when the GF is over and will probably never play any games on it (my monitor is a 30inch, fuck using a tv for games). Although I might push my steam games onto it some how, the games that use an Xbox controller that is.

Here are the spots for placement and the viewing angles that will be used. My room is an absolute mess (especially my computer desk) because of Christmas and gift wrapping, so just ignore that for now.

I'm really just looking for opinions on if I should go with the up high or not, since I've never used a TV like that before. The main problem with up high as I've shown in a picture is that there is a light right there. I can turn it off or remove it though. I don't really watch too much TV or play too many games with the light on.

This is where it is now, the original spot, and if I hang it it will be at eye level here instead of knee/waist level it is now.

Here is that same spot from my bed.

Here is the spot above my computer when viewed from my bed:

This is the angle from sitting in my computer chair:

And here is the original spot/above that spot when hung when viewed from my computer chair. I am getting a mount that can swivel.

    Thoughts on placement?

Think I like above the computer, but I tend to recline in my chair while playing games.

Well I decided to take the time today to rearrange my computer desk as I've wanted the 30inch monitor head on for a while instead of in the curved part of the desk, which means I'll probably just hang the TV on the wall where it is now instead of up high.

    Wow lol that is strange.

I just got the naga for black friday but can't get into it. I love the heavier g500 and the shape, but it is going bad. Today was the first day since getting it that I used the naga exclusively, haven't touched the buttons on the side yet though. Just trying to get used to the feel.

Enjoy the Naga, I need to hook up a second mouse to my computer for Diablo since the left click is dying on my naga and I don't have the tools to fix it

Corner, above the computer setup. Anywhere else is a waste of space.

How about on the wall above the big monitor with the new arrangement? I'm really afraid to put it in the corner. Plus, this tv is no 47 inch and its pretty big.

    You gotta be knolling.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Knoll_%28verb%29

    Your monitors/tower/keyboards at mishmash angles are making me twitch. ;;

Can you put the tower on the floor, the two monitors on one side of the desk, and the tv on the wall on the other side? Since it's like, an L shape?

    Edit: lol.

No. My pc puts out too much heat and is rotated 90 degrees, so the fans point out the top. On the floor turns my room into a sauna.

My one monitor is a 30inch 1600p monitor, there really isn't any setup that looks normal due to the others size. The only thing that looks normal with it are 20-22's in vertical eyefinity.

Your setup forces me to turn my head sideways to look at the TV while at the computer. I personally liked my old setup but I needed to get out of the rounded edge.

Here's my old setup, I miss it.
    Spoiler: show

I would love to put the monitors on the longer part, but putting my back to the door with headphones on bothers me. So the big monitor needs to be where it is now. The other monitor I can care less about, but its hard to get cables long enough to make it work anywhere else. So now the question is, TV on the wall where it was, or TV above the big monitor on a swiveling wall mount so I can see it from my bed - just like your picture has it.

Have you considered a SUMMERA computer holder for your tower? I currently have my tower on my desktop as well due to dust concerns, but I'm considering the holder to free up come desktop real estate. I just posted my setup here. In my case I'd either hang the tower at the far right outside or the far left inside.

The exhaust for this computer is on top, so the heat would push straight up into my desk and literally would bake me. I had it on the floor for all of 2 days, and tried moving it all over the place, it cooks my room.

My case has the same exhaust setup, so I can understand your concerns. If that's all you're worried about, you can remove the end caps of the desk frame and mount the holder on an outside end. That would leave the exhaust unobstructed, but at a lower level and free up desktop space. From the pictures I've seen of your setup it looks like you would have room to the left, but obviously you have a better grasp of what will ultimately fit.

Well I finally mounted it today even though I've had everything needed since like the 28th. Mounted the soundbar to the bottom of the TV too. The mount I got has a ridiculous amount of swivel to angle it something like 45-120 degrees, as well as a 15 degree downward tilt. So I mounted it on the wall in the spot where it was at about 60" from the floor to the middle of the TV, angled it down, and decided to fuck with it as a 3rd monitor to check it out. I can angle it more towards my computer chair or pull it out further but you get the idea. Here's the new setup, lol...
