Belichick has dabbled far more on his offense than Reid has on defense over the years; he gets more credit for it. At the same time, Belichick also gets blame for the defense being as terrible as it's been the last 5 years or so. The Patriots won Super Bowls when his defense was the strength of their team and the offense backed it up; when it's been the other way around, they've been world-beaters in the regular season, and struggled far more in the playoffs. Belichick has also been more innovative on offense than Reid has been. Unlike the Eagles, though, the Patriots have finished at-worst tied for first in their division every year since 2001. They haven't had a bad year. Unlike Reid, Belichick has (generally) demonstrated excellent game management and rules knowledge. His team usually shows up prepared, and it shows. Do I think the Patriots would be a better team if Belichick turned his eye far more to his defense? Yeah, I do. At the same time, they haven't found that guy to replace Bruschi as a team leader; I think they're trying to do it with Wilfork, but it's not quite worked out yet.
tl;dr: Belicheat has shifted largely to an offensive coach, and seems to have done so successfully. But the Patriots would probably be better off if he'd focus more on defense, so yeah, I give him the blame for the Patriots losing twice to Eli. Because it was the defense that came up short both times.
Edit: And yeah, DJ, I'll concede that the Eagles absolutely violated everyone in the NFL when it came to trading away their trash. I think that Andy Reid could make a really good GM + QB coach. I just don't think it outweighs his serious deficits in game management.
Andy Reid as a future GM sounds fucking scary tbh. He's not even black but he'll hustle the shit out of you right now, imagine just having his entire time dedicated just to football operations.
hopefully loudoun works out. then i can bring down their highest-income-county-in-the-country ranking

Not having two inside guards capable of handling that beast Giants D.line during those two games is the reason mainly why the Pats lost those two superbowls. If we go back to both games, the inside push of the Giants D.line was forcing Brady to throw before he wanted to. Giants D.line turned it on during that entire 4th qtr of the superbowl, I remember seeing the pats O.line get pushed back. I think the match up between D.line and O.line, Giants vs pats just favors the Giants until the pats get two interior guards who can handle a D.line like that.
Hallelujah.

Autopsy results show that Jerry brown was sober the night of the josh brent car crash.
Wow...
So the drunk guy was driving and the sober guy got in the car with him? Fail x2 and darwinism seems to be in full effect here.

Cail stay away from pg county LOL. Like bregor I also grew up on Fairfax, its mad chill. Loudon has lots of poor people so you will fit in, its where all the pro athletes live tho. All the wizards and redskins are neighbors. You will also get to crush epic pussy as a firefighter.
Not that I don't believe the report or whatever but curious, how does an autopsy - which takes place long after death - show sobriety at a given point in time? I'd like to believe this situation can't have been that profoundly stupid
