Less realistic:
Remake/Remaster of Final Fantasy 6, 7, or 9. (I doubt we'll ever see a remake of 7+.)
New mutliplayer (non-handheld) Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles. (The first one was amazing.)
I wouldn't mind a new SaGa Frontier. As long as you don't get lost and end up in an area where you can be brutally raped at any given moment, the first one was fun as hell. Plus who doesn't love that OP theme.
I'd take a non-handheld Dissidia.
I believe the reason Chrono Trigger wasn't continued was because the developers felt they were "done" with the game, as in they didn't want to explore anymore aspects of it anymore as they felt it was "completed".
I admit I would be quite curious to a proper Final Fantasy Tactics sequel of some sort. I was never very satisfied with the Advance series direction.
Remakes can be a hit or miss thing, but a careful remake of VI would be quite nice.
Honestly, just give us a Final Fantasy that everyone can be proud of and enjoy and I'd be pretty happy.
Going back to their roots is what they're doing with XIV. We'll see how that it all turns out though.
I mean a non MMO. No way in hell I'm touching XIV again.
New Chrono Trigger game (or remake, I don't give a fuck) with the art style of Ni No Kuni please.
Now, if they just actually paid attention to what people say in that topic. Of course they will ignore all the VII remake talk and that's fine, but I hope it might make them look seriously at English releases of Type-0, KH1.5 and Bravely Default.
I got nostalgic so I went on youtube to watch some of FFIX videos and I noticed 2 things.
The Alexander vs Bahamut fight reminded me alot of FFXIV 1.0 ending. The way Alex's beams of light or whatever surrounded Bahamut and all that.
The second thing is how beautiful the cutscenes were with no voice acting.
This made me wonder, could a main FF game succeed nowadays with just great story, graphics, music score and no voice acting? (Think of it like The Artist.)
Any answer other than "start working on FFXV" is wrong.
No useless remakes, no shitty spin-offs, no zombie MMORPGs.
FF Tactics 2 (none of the advanced bullshit) I want a ps3/4 sequel.
Bravely Default in english.
I want you to stop making terrible mobile/browser games and focus on fun console/pc games. (3ds or vita also acceptable)
How about a game where the story doesn't completely fucking suck? Magic trench coats, never explaining half the damn shit in FFXIII, throwing terms out expecting you to just know what they are. A story where character motivations are solid, well established, a story that gives a player direct relation to where things are, what they are.
I feel like FFXIII story is like "The Highlander" movie except they don't explain where the immortals come from, what their purpose is, what the rules are for their immortality. FFXIII had some cool gameplay however, it was more than likely the worst written story I have ever seen that failed every basic rule in story telling.
