I don't know why I do, but goddammit if I don't love man-buns like Eren's in the last panel. Something about that hairstyle...

Hella gay. I want that style in XIV.
Need a ven diagram for people who like man buns and main dragoon to see how much overlap there is.

Excellent manga, excellent anime. Very proud of this series.

Man, another half season of no forward progress. TWD of anime.
I haven’t watched this seasons anime yet, but if it’s the false royal family arc how do you figure there was no progress? I’m pretty sure it was also this story arc where they explain the saiyans of the AOT universe lol.
I'd say the meat of it was, "There are some people the titan power doesn't work on!" with the heavy implication it was the Ackerman line. That, in itself, doesn't really explain their power even if there was a moment of inquiry between them if they ever had a "moment" so to speak. But I can't recall the manga really being any better about it. Given manga revelations since, we can probably either figure they're some sort of specific branch of the people of Ymir or even children a rival god/goddess that decided to not let them have free reign over humanity. At this point, I'm just expecting to learn the specific titan types are a result of distant ancestors eating certain devil fruits or some shit and inheritance upon death isn't completely random, but further limited to direct lineage. Could even explain the Ackerman part where instead of becoming titans themselves, they just gain superhuman strength/agility at the potential cost of some degree of emotion.
