The trailer is what it is, ARR's opening movie. I'm glad they kept the End of an Era part in there because people seeing that for the first time are going to be like "wow!". Not everyone watches for every little piece of info coming out of SE.

Anyway, I quit the game several months before it ended. But damn everything whats his name touches since he came back turns to gold. Now I just need to decided if I will start a new character on a new server or go back to my old with my good friends.

Why not play with your friends? You can still create a new character on your old server if you want a fresh start.

There's a certain allure to starting the game on a fresh server with no economy and everyone on the same playing field to begin with. More people to experience the low to mid level content with, levels, etc. Even I have an urge to start new and I invested quite a bit of time into 1.0. It's going to be a hard decision for sure and I'm still on the fence.
