Assuming you had it and used it back when they first asked for beta PS3 apps, it sounds like they still have that old application info.

Because the apps are more than likely just for open beta and bringing in numbers if necessary to closed/later stages.

Yeah I was surprised how quick and easy it is to sign up to beta. No SE account needed and only a few fields. I gave the link to a guy at work who had never played an online FF title before and it took him less than 30 seconds to put in an application. I'm sure it will lead to a lot of multi apps, but then if people are determined to apply multiple times they would have gone to the required lengths regardless of what they are anyway.

Doubt people need to apply multiple times if they have a rig that's up to SE's standards. I've applied once for every of their alpha/betas and have gotten in every time, most likely due to my rig. I'm sure past experience and experience with other MMOs helps, but there's no point in allowing people to test if if they can barely get in.

Thing is with this application form you can apply without even mentioning your rig. Sounds like it will be completely random, unlike the alpha where your rig mattered.
I do wonder what that survey is however and whether they will give any weighting to those who are less lazy and fill it in.

The survey was just the standard form that was in the alpha application. Questions about why you are applying, what your rig is, what your connection is, how often you can play etc. I filled it out again since I figured they might give weight to people who complete it with the application.

Yeah there's no harm filling it in. I'd advise everyone to do so who isn't legacy, just to be on the safe side. If you have a lopsided rig like me (great CPU/average GPU) it may be worth lying too. Pretty sure that's why I didn't get in the alpha.

Exactly. Legacy members really don't need to bother unless you wanna apply for PS3.
