That DiPietro stuff is depressing Q_Q
Lest all of you think that he is nothing but a troll, I am here to tell you otherwise. It was none other than Sepukku that was responsible for my future little Pens fan's first jersey.
nice.
But if only he had gotten a Mark Eaton jersey...
lol number 7 or the new number he will have now?
I see you're using the term "talent" very loosely there blue.
For ACTUAL breaking fucking news, the Flames offered Ryan O'Reilly a 2yr, 10M offer sheet. Of course being an RFA with Colorado, they can match the contract, but if they don't, we lose a 1st and a 3rd round pick.
Edit: And big LOL here, we happen to be playing Colorado tonight to boot, hahaha
About Flames
Pierre LeBrun @Real_ESPNLeBrun
As per @DarrenDreger, Flames sign Ryan O'Reilly to offer sheet, two years, $10 M. Key is Year 2 at $6.5 M; that's big QO in two years
Renaud Lavoie @RenLavoieRDS
Flames give RFA Ryan O'Reilly an offer sheet. Avalanche will have to respond. Both teams are facing each other tonight.
Renaud Lavoie @RenLavoieRDS
Reason Calgary's contract to O'Reilly is 2 year, its because he'll be UFA after.
Renaud Lavoie @RenLavoieRDS
I'm told its not 100% sure that the Avalanche will match Flames offer for Ryan O'Reilly.
And in case it gets missed from being on the last page, we are playing Colorado tonight as well, lol
Oh.... well.... in the heat of the moment...
Honestly I'm shocked nobody else sent an offer sheet his way. I mean the guy is a top six forward and Colorado was going to hold him out this entire season.
It's a really interesting offer. If Colorado doesn't match, that means going into this draft, the Flames won't have a pick until the 4th round which only leads me to believe that Feaster can't be done dealing.
Honestly, looking at it from that perspective, the chips might begin to fall for a rebuild. I know that sounds redundant, no picks going into the draft = rebuild how? But I mean it in the sense that we could be seeing Iggy/Kipper/J-Bou heading out of town and gathering picks and prospects that way.
Of course, it's a little too early to say still. I mean, we are only 4 points back and starting to get into the groove of Hartley's coaching style. But should the team be in a bad position come the trade deadline, I wouldn't be surprised if Nukes went off in Calgary
Lol. If Colorado doesn't match you'll be paying for it with three years of first round picks. Not worth it
O'Reillys agents are at MSG ATM supposedly
