Cats are overpowered...!

Not only do they cost about 1mil AD, they give (from last I read) 5% crit and a high amount of recovery, some post says it gives enough to amount to near 1,000 crit ( which is like 7-8% crit and a bunch of other stats also it can give). It also can't die (unless you let it run off a cliff or something that can kill it, otherwise it can't be hit).

Also... so far at Lv60, as I've gotten better gear and doing them 8300ish rating dungeons, I've yet to find a high damage GFW and unlike earlier... where rogue is just a few hundred thousand damage over the next person, now its millions...

Been messing around with this on mindflayer with some friends. Playing cleric. What's the best way to deal with a wizard in pvp? They seem ridiculous right now from my level 26 position but I don't know enough about the mechanics yet.

yeah, one on one I've been able to completely lock down players and burn them really quick. Level 28 CW.

Don't challenge them one on one, CW's main thing is it is good at controlling one person, but not multiple people (unlike brain dead NPC AI, unless your team is that bad too!). Also, low lvl pvp may not be too balanced, but later levels priest is kinda hard to kill (crit one for 15K at Lv 60, guy goes back to 100% hp wut). Although when it comes down to it a CW+priest will lose vs a rogue+priest...

Also, looks like their doing a mix of rollbacks (single character or even entire server) and bans and more~

....and this is why I'll probably never play a game with a cash shop / micro-transaction model. even with real money on the line, these dev faggots can't figure out how to make it secure.

This is of course ignoring the fact that this game brings absolutely nothing new or inovative to the genre and isn't worth anyone's time.

Foundry, but it's very limited and you can't do much with it at all yet. Still not a good reason to play, really no reason to play any MMO that isn't GW2, a shame Anet literally refuses to add any new content to the game. I quit for 6 months and did all the new content in less than 10 hours, I can't name another MMO that's existed I've ever been able to do that with.

I fail to see how what happened threatened anybody's real life money. It's worth my time because I don't have to invest a lot of time into it and feel like I've gotten shit done and that's pretty rare with an MMO. GW2 had that as well up until they added fucking Laurels and Ascended gear.

The game is kinda derp but it's a good time waster. If I paid money for it, I'd be upset but it's free so meh. The foundry system is pretty neat and I'd like to see something like that in future MMO's.

I don't even know what I'm looking for in a "next-gen" MMO so it's hard for me to judge and complain. I'm just enjoying it for what it is.

It's fun but whether it has staying power is hard to tell. Plenty of room for new classes and content. A lot of my friends are trying it right now until ESO.

5.19.13 - Server Status Update and Important Announcements
Dearest Beta Testers and Bravest Adventures,

In the dark hours of this Sunday morning an in-game bug was discovered and taken advantage of by a very small group of villainous Nashers intent on exploiting Neverwinters Open Beta Gateway and Auction House systems for unearned Astral Diamonds.

Thanks in no small part to the efforts of our continually amazing Beta community, we were able to quickly identify the exploit and the perpetrators. Once identified, we took immediate action, calling in the entire development and publishing teams to lock down the Neverwinter OBT as we sought out a solution.

Rest assured, the issue has been corrected and we have taken appropriate action against all players who took advantage of the bug, including but not limited to enforcing permanent bans.

Sadly, the damage to the economy was done.

Rather than let the malicious efforts of a few unsavory players linger and continually impact the games economy and balance as we progress through these later stages of Open Beta, we have made the extremely difficult decision to rollback Neverwinter to a time shortly before the abuse and exploitation began.

This means that roughly seven hours of progress made between 5:20 AM and 12:20 PM Pacific Time will be lost to all players. For that, we do sincerely apologize.

Following an extensive QA check, Neverwinter will begin again as soon as possible. We hope to have the servers available again soon, and will continue to post updates on the forums and other channels.

When the servers do come back up, a few systems will not be active: the Auction House and the Astral Diamond exchange. When the servers are back up and running, well still be examining these features and preparing some resolutions.

Any attempt to use the Astral Diamond exchange will give an error message. The Auction House, however, wont give an error -- it simply will fail to post the item. This is the known behavior, and were working to bring these systems back up as soon as possible.

As a token of our appreciation for you, the community, and all that youve done for the game throughout these days of Beta, we will be sending a thank-you gift to players and opening ourselves up on the forums and various other channels to answer any and all questions we can.

Give it a couple months when all this is said and done and Neverwinter has some huge patch adding loads of content, he will be back here saying how much he fucking loves it.

I've never seen anyone with gaming bi-polar as bad as this guy.

They aren't banning enough people, and people have exploited many other things that have already fucked the economy and not gotten banned over that too. This game has been 1 game breaking exploit after another. They banned some people but not all of them, and people have exploited other things basically, lynching tree, 1 shot GF exploit, etc. They just need to do a complete beta wipe at this point is what I'm saying, because there's been so many things exploited since open beta started.

This doesn't kill the game at all for me, but a bunch of my friends quit over it. I never had anything I needed to buy with AD, and never wanted to buy anything with AD so I don't care at all. I only enjoy foundries and dungeons with friends, which gear doesn't matter at all for those.

This is why I don't spend a single dime on beta's, and a bit into retail other then possibly purchasing a game, because you never know how bad it will get. It makes leaving a game less painful when you haven't poured a few bucks, or as some have, several hundred.

the rollback didn't really set me back at least, in fact it sort of gave me back 240ish AD I can now save toward getting a cat since I had time to read about their insane stat boosting ability. Probably one the most overpowered pets available. Also, it gave me the time to sit and download 1.6GBish of the remaining patches the game has, so I don't have to suffer another long "downloading patch" problem again.

People are allowed to make their own opinion on a game (like many of the posters in this thread have). People will love, and hate games after playing through it. Shiyo is not the only person to like the game, then later not like it, so there is no need to single him out or anyone else for that matter. *cough* LidenbokValour and Day *cough*

Anyway its a beta, things can change, but I doubt we will see any massive changes (like a whole zone redesign). Just minor things like class rebalanced, that gargvueaghaeoshrgbe84t zone added and stuff like that.

For now, I enjoy rogue, one the highest DPS classes which seems broken it can go so high... gotta enjoy it while you can!
