1/28/13 - Version Update Discussion

Nothing noteworthy in the dats, but use this thread to discuss new Meeble Burrows stuff or whatever else you feel like talking about regarding today's version update.

Things tested

New Meeble Burrows progression (how many expeditions per rank?) -- still 5
New Meeble Burrows drops (what drops where?) -- figured out
New Wizened Worm items -- figured out (just one new armor in each rank)
New Research marks items -- mostly figured out
Embrava in Meeble Burrows (was it nerfed?) -- yes
Research marks items for "total completion" (all goal 3 completed) -- figured out

Things needing testing:

Research Marks information for Adjunct and Assistant expeditions
More detailed boss information for Grannus and Melisseus.

Because it's a different zone is it a completely different path? Like VW Sandy or Windy, can start from start irregardless of position at other area.

Ya based on the description in the update notes:

"The new expeditions are issued by the Burrow Researcher in Batallia Downs (J-8).
*The expeditions in Batallia Downs are independent from those in Sauromugue Champaign."

Looks like before. Started with three levels: Adjunct, Assistant, Instructor. And requirements seems same as before kill all or go to this spot so on and so forth.

I believe only three ranks of missions were added this time (there are only three KIs in the dats, only four NM titles, assuming one is from a final boss), so it's probably just those three ranks plus the final boss bee.

Umm, probably a stupid question, but since the exp. are independent, does that mean we won't be able to use Sauromugue Champaign-built grimiore boons into the new areas? Looking at the stat results for some of these exp. kind of suggests they are independent =0 (Auto-RR, TH)

No idea - does it work with the same books? I'm assuming you can use the same books, so I don't see why the old buffs wouldn't work.

No, you can't. I had a book held at the NPC, and he said:
"This grimoire has excerpts from your expeditions in Sauromugue inside. Please return with a blank grimoire."
And then gave me my grimoire back/stole my grimoire page.

Son of a bitch! I specifically made three super-grimores with a ton of buffs from the Sauro path so that I could slam these three paths on release day. So cruel!

Now what the shit am I going to do with them? I guess I get to destroy the monkey three times?

Linkshell member is saying Embrava is giving him 5 TP/tic despite casting it naked with >420 Enhancing skill. Apparently it shouldn't be doing that?

Uh.. 420 should be 5/tick so it's normal. The threshold is every 100. 400-499 is 5/tick, 500+ is 6/tick.

Oh, if someone can check, one thing that should be immediately obvious - what new wizened worms items were added? I edited the OP with stuff to test - if anyone has anything else to add, let me know and I'll put it up there.

Probably safe to assume those are drops from adjunct/assistant/instructor new bosses, then.

Adjunct boss - Izyx, an eyeball boss, has 4 helpers that assist after a certain TP move. We got Ocular Boots to drop.
