Netflix will be making a Witcher series
alright fam after 7 Witcher novels, 10 hours of youtube cinematics, and actually playing a playable Witcher game (vive Saskia) time to dust this 100 hour GOAT bitch.
you gueys recommend a clean initial playthrough or are there must-have mods that improve quality of life without altering the core experience too much?
There's a few basic QOL mods I'd definitely recommend (just install thru NMM). I'm assuming you're working with a fully updated version of the game
Preface - some of these require Unification Patch http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/2134/? and Script Merger (Run it after installing everything before launching the game) http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/484/?
All Quest Objectives on Map - http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/943/?
Colored Map Markers (make sure to grab All Quest Objectives compatible version) - http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/938/?
Jump in Shallow Water - http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/1951/? (1000% install this mod, it's a huge annoyance fixer)
Pause Anytime - http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/2153/?
Nitpicker's Patch - http://www.nexusmods.com/witcher3/mods/2117/?
There's some other good QOL stuff like Fast Travel From Anywhere, but I definitely don't recommend that for first time players since you can break the game if you fast travel when you're not supposed to. Other then Immersive Cam/Immersive Motion/Immersive AI that's really all the non graphical stuff I use
Make sure you are playing the complete edition with the dlc already installed so you can use perks that only came out with expansions. But the Gourmet perk is a little OP in my opinion but you might want to have it just in case you are getting wrecked.
we in here fam
Spoiler: show
God damn someone cuttin' onions up in here.
Yeah that was a gut punch in the feels. Lot of respect to CD PR.
I've owned this game for quite some time. I should probably make time to play it.
Set aside about a 100 hours.
<3 CDPR
Senior Gameplay designer for Witcher 3 and both DLCs released his own personal immersion/gameplay mod on the Nexus. Haven't tested it myself but it's definitely gonna be added to a future replay.

Update rolled out for Xbox One X version today supporting two new fidelity options--4K Mode and Performance Mode.
Both versions include:
Support for 4K resolution
HDR support
Enhanced shadows, ambient occlusion, and texture filtering
Higher resolution textures
Dynamic resolution scaling from 1080p to 4K
4K mode runs the game in 4k resolution at a steady 30fps, while Performance mode will scale from 1080p to 4K while attempting to hit 60fps during gameplay.
A similar update for the PS4 Pro is expected soon.
Not trying to be flamed here - but I don't see what the big deal is about this game. I have finally gotten around to playing it and starting to get bored (Im @ velen after beating the elf mage cave with keira).
The combat is mediocre mainly because the auto target is not that good, I really really loathe the inventory system..looting everything is a chore and the craft/sell/repair endless loop is slow and boring, have to stash all your mats then take them out if you want to craft....it is for sure the biggest complaint from me b/c I am tacking on a huge amount of hours just going through inventory and looting and it takes away from the game itself imo (which is quiet good btw)
Should I expect more of the same? because I am ready to just quit on this game, I enjoy the story and all but outside of pretty graphics and well done cutscenes this defiantly does not blow me out the water and I cant help but scoff at the 10/10 "best game of this generation" praise... gimme a break
I swear to you I enjoyed Dragon Age: Inquisition much more compared to this so far.
But also get inventory mods.
Funny enough I just started playing this game this weekend and I agree. The inventory system is some of most unintuitive and convoluted shit I’ve ever seen. Even basic shit like crafting feels like a fucking chore.
The story though seems pretty bad ass so far. Just did a side quest that tied in with the main quest about a gay lover committing suicide. “The devil of the well” I think the quest was called lol. I just thought it was really well done how the stories weaves in with one another. The combat is fun too imo. At least it’s nowhere near as punishing as Bloodborne lol.
Like i said, do yourselves a favor and get some mods for the inventory. That shit is whack.
