    Neowitz is going into more detail on what changes are coming to the Test server

    Part 1 Charater Growth

    Previously, there was a common issue where players change to a better equip but hunting times did not improve. The growth was not significant enough for players to enjoy, and there is no sense of fulfilment. Also, upgrading equipment runes can be costly due to failures, while the equipment themselves could become useless when new end-game equipment drop from new dungeons.

    All these and more will be rectified in the new test server. Previously, only runes attached to equipment can be strengthen, but not the equipment itself. The new build will see equipment able to be upgraded through + 15, with the classic glow and shine effects getting more eye-catching with each upgrade. There will now be compensation given out to players when upgrade fails.

    Another new system is evolution. When an equipment reaches +15, it can be evolved to a new tier. There are 3 tiers in the new build, and such a process of evolution will not fail. Not only the basic stats will greatly improved, but new bonus stats will be added as well. The appearance of the equipment will change as well! While not an uncommon feature, this is certainly a welcome change.

    A new item “succession” system will be added. This allows players to transfer all stats, including runes, upgrade level, evolution tier, etc, to another equipment of a similar kind. However, there will be a couple of requirements for the new item, such as having a rating of 45 and above. There will be a chance of the upgrade stage to drop, but will not go below the original evolution tier.

    Dropping Aeria is the smartest thing they could've done. I've played their idea of "games". Total joke and they n e v e r respond to any community unrest or issue. Games die under their watch. And quickly. Wouldn't have looked twice at this with the Aeria name on it.

    Can't handle much more TERA. Need something to fill the free time killer void.

    Crafting/Gathering

    -You can now only choose 1 profession you want to "master".
    -If you want to master Blacksmith for example the items have higher quality and better stats.
    -The crafting UI has been redone and reworked.
    -You now need recipes to learn how to craft specific items.
    -The best gear now comes from recipes.
    -Recipes can be bought at a NPC or the best ones dropped from bosses.
    -Gathering is now a profession and must be lvl'd as well.

    Taming/Mounts

    -Your Pet/Mount now gains experience when it's summoned.
    -There are items to restore a Pets/Mounts fatigue now.
    -There are 4 stages for Pets/Mounts now. Luxury, Rare, Heroic, and Legendary.
    -You can now use Pets/Mounts with lower grade as upgrade material to level them.
    -The chance to successfully upgrade your Pet/Mount increases with every fail.
    -New UI.
    -Depending on your mounts stage it's appearance changes.

    -The Taming System has been replaced with a minigame. You now have to hit a button at the right time to tame a pet or mount.
    -Taming scrolls can no longer be purchased at a NPC. You have to craft them now or get them through quest rewards.
    -You can now level your Taming Skill. Taming becomes easier with every level.
    -Anima System has been added. With every Taming attempt, there is a chance to get an egg with a pet inside or other rewards.
    -You can now trade pets and mounts.
    -There are now "costumes" for some pets and mounts.

    Lastly there will be a new race on the test server. Neowitz wanted to have a loli race similar to Tera, as they are big sellers. The new race will be a half- human, half-mascu race.

    Interesting, never played this or payed enough attention, but reading the above it seems the game missed a lot what is considered basic functionality today. Granted, it's not as bad as XIV1.0, but still curious

    A lot of things that players want standard are actually pretty hard to get right, especially if the studio has never done them before. It's part of the reason Warcraft won't be de-throned until Blizzard decides it's done with the market; they just have so much groundwork figured out and implemented, nobody can catch up.

    That being said, the reason Tera's Elin were so damn popular is because they did a great job adding personality to their animations, so unless the same happens here, they won't hit their mark.

    I'm at work and have limited searching for vidya so that's why I'm asking. Is this game in any version playable in the US yet? Time frame?

    I'm going to say no. this game is still a mess, they need to get a handle on it locally before sending out testing to others. (could be wrong I suppose)

    No you are right. The game currently isn't in the west and won't be for awhile. Areia games was going to publish the game here in the west. But Neowitz decided to pull out.

    Bless launched in Korea 2 years ago, and went on to launch in Japan and Russia. But because the game was a mess. It bombed in all 3 markets. The game has been taken down except for 1 server in Korea.

    Neowitz has now decided to remake the game from scratch. Kinda like how what SE did for FFXIV.

    They have a test server going on, right now and are updating the server as fast as they can. When the game has been rebuilt they will let us know what plans they have for the west.

    It's the end of September, and here are all the updates that happened this month on the test server.

    There were major patches on Sept.7th, Sept.14th, and Sept. 28th.

    Sept. 7th patch.

    - Dungeons up to level 45 added

    - Revamped Item Enhancing UI
    - New mileage system will be added to Enhancing

    Increasing the level cap to 45 and adding the new dungeons was the main focus of the 9/7 update, but there was an enhancement ui update applied too.

    It has been said that the new UI for enhancing is a good addition, but it was lacking basic features like showing the quantity of required materials, the chance of the upgrade or did not display the item icons properly after enhancing.

    There will be an 'Enhancement Mileage' system that basically increases your chances to upgrade the items.



    The new mileage system will add bonus chances upon failing the enhancement process, just like the above image shows, it will display the base success rate + bonus chance from aux. items + bonus chance from failing(mileage). Upon successful enhancement, it will be reset to 0 percent again.

    With this update it will be easier to get to higher enhancement levels.


    Sept. 14th Patch

    It is stressful for players to constantly enchant gear with new updates. So Neowitz has added a new enhancement transfer system to make it easier to upgrade your gear.

    LV 37+ equipment that are Epic or Legendary grade can have their enchantment transferred to other equipment.(this includes equipment that were evolved with the "Evolution" system)Transfer will have a set chance to transfer current enchantment levels to another equipment. However, chances of losing some enchantment level increases with higher Evolution Stage. Item to have enchantment levels transferred must be +0 and item that is sacrificed must be +5 enchantment level.



    Sacrificed equipment's special effect can transfer over and its unique "essence" shape may change.
    Here, "essence" is Rebuild's Rune System simply renamed.

    Materials required for enchanting will increase as enchantment level increases.The material item, "Lilyantez's Crystal", can be obtained by dismantling "essence" items. "Essence" items can be crafted with Smelt Skill.



    The new rune system is now called "Essence". The rune system got a complete overhaul. Instead of reinforcing the equipment itself, you will now be able to enhance the runes and you can craft them.

    There are three grades of Essences, advanced, rare and heroic, the acquisition method greatly varies by type.
    You can craft the advanced ones easily with Smelt profession, but you will need to train a bit to be able to craft rare or heroic grade. You can also buy these essences from honor shops.

    Only Armors will have Essence slots and the patterns will be fixed, you will only be able to upgrade it with that type. The patterns vary for every item dropped as it is random.
    You can also change the pattern with a low possibility.

    You can get an additional slot by evolving the item.



    Monster damage at early levels have been stated too high, this has been changed, the early game will be easier now. Especially around Spezia zones.
    Dungeons will be optimized for soloing too, Sapien's Mausoleum (lv22 dungeon) was said to be hard to solo even with rebuild updates.

    Prior to this update, the weapons could only be obtained from elites, this is now changed and you can get different grade weapons from even normal monsters as a drop.

    The new skill system had a friendly welcome and it was easy to understand, although some skills required some subgroups and misc skills to be learned, leaving you with some limitation of choices.
    From now on you will be able to select skills from a group freely, without needing previous skills.

    Some recipes required materials from the other Faction way early on, for example cooking skill and wheat, you'd have to go to Hieron side to get those materials. This will be changed and resources will be relocated to follow the growth curves more. Meaning, you will not have to go explore the other faction's zones for low level / early recipes.

    The material vendors were way too far from the workshops, this is now changed and they are moved closer to workshops for convenience.



    Sept.28th Patch

    - Castle Sieges have been added.
    - The revamped Mascu Race has been added
    - UI ,HUD, and other miscellaneous changes
    - Taming / Training changes
    - New half-human, half mascu race has been added

    - Tons of Bug fixes

    - Castle Siege has been improved.

    > You can enter at level 37.

    > The battle time has been reduced from 45 minutes to 30 minutes.

    > In the past, if you did not kill the commander, the winner or loser was judged based on the score.

    From now on, the winner or loser will be judged only if the commander is killed.
    If the commander is alive , both sides will receive a draw when the battle ends.

    > The way you gain points in Castle Siege has changed.
    There is not much difference when you enter the starting stage of Castle Siege.
    However, the number of participating characters will gradually decrease the score you can get after the end of the battle.


    > The movement speed of the vehicles and the attack power of the gate have been increased

    The cleansing tree that summons Divine Wrath has been changed to summon the monster at regular intervals.
    The monster that the tree summons Divine Wrath's stamina will gradually decrease as the siege progresses.

    > A battlefield board has been added to make it easier to check the health of the gate and the commander.



    > The shield at the base has been removed and additional defense mechanisms were put in the castle tower.

    > In the past you could only push towards the castle on the walls, the terrain has been changed and more routes have been added so it should be easier to breach the castle now.



    > Now that there is no shield buff, the strength of the defending faction gets increased for 1 minute.
    > The commander's shield skill has been changed to a reflection spell and the heal skill has been removed.

    New Mascu revamp, and the humanoid mascu can be both Hieron or Union faction. Playable classes:Guardian, Berserker, Mage, Paladin and Assassin.

    Neowiz, Developer and Publisher of Bless Online, will attend to the TwitchCon 2017 in Long Beach, CA on October 20-22. They will have an announcement to make, introduce the new western Community Manager, and have staff on hand to answer all the questions westerners will want to ask.

    I was just going to post this, looks like you beat me to it..lol

    At Twichcon, Neowitz introduced the new western CM (his name is Will), and he announced that Neowitz will be self publishing the game here in the west via steam. Forums will be up soon. Bless should be released sometime in 2018, but the rebuild is only 30% complete, so look for it to be a later 2018 release.
