Just given this a try. No luck unfortunately. I've even updated my Catalyst drivers to ensure it's the latest version. Tried rebooting too.

I can't imagine it's a problem with my system, I played the Sim City beta fine a couple of weeks ago and FFXIV V1 ran fine. But something seems missing.

Windows keeps asking me if I want to run the file at every step. I keep clicking yes but I wonder if this security issue is killing it somewhere down the line.

Google isn't helping much, the error message doesn't say a lot to me. Quite annoying!

    Running Windows 7 64bit with i5 3570k, 16gb RAM, Radeon 5830 GPU.

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn - I go from playing TERA which is a pure CPU dependent game to this shit and my score went from 4114 with a stock 480 GTX to 7392 with a stock 680 GTX. Both on a 2500k @4.0. That didn't make a dent in TERA.

    I'm shocked~

He has a 980X, probably legit. Game has always been ridiculously CPU bound despite what other people try to say.

Tried to hit the videocard a bit harder in OC. This is about as high as I could hit stable....not bad for not running a 670 or 680

So do I, and mine is clocked a lot higher. he should be around 7000 at 1920x1200 or 1920x1080 on maximum.

    Also, damn nice Tyche

Not seeing it. I got 8100 at 1200p and 8500 at 1080p, with a 3570k and the same GPU. 10,000 seems appropriate given the two extra cores and hyperthreading possibility.

    What aren't you seeing?

I'll just edit this one. look at the specs people are running. I have the exact same processor, but running at 4ghz instead of 3.3. at 1920x1200 or 1920x1080 range he would be in the 7-8k on maximum.

  12. #92

I would be wary of scores, if you're on the bubble of what they deem acceptable I wouldn't count on being able to run the game (well). Run the Benchmark again and pull up a system performance monitor, it doesn't tax your system at all.

Uh, what I said in the following sentence? No reason to spam the thread with idle chitchat any further, I'm saying I think the score is appropriate for the specs he listed.. seeing that he's only 1500 over me with a hexa and the same GPU.

The difference between Max and High settings is a world of difference. Seems like it's time for an upgrade, as the last time I did this, it was for 1.0 Release. Any recommendations on a update rig, and price range options? If it helps, I almost full time a 52 inch Plasma TV, as my monitor.
