A second monitor will always be a performance hit, but certainly not a noticeable one. Even windowed and stretched across two screens.

Moved the benchmark to my SSD, downgraded to the 306.63 drivers and put a slight OC on the card, and now it's over 9000.

Not happy bout my results
Spoiler: show
It shows custom because I changed resolution after I set it to maximum. Moved the bench to my SSD and saw a 400 point increase and 3 more frames average fps. Kind of odd but oh well.

Quit back in 2009, just before Abyssea came out. I might actually give FF14; Realm Reborn a try.
Anyways, my score was 6750 @ 1920-1080 on max settings;

Ran it again at 1600X900 - the largest resolution my laptop can display, got a 2317 (Normal). Another data point, I guess. Not sure if the actual game can use that resolution though.

That's about the score I'm getting with a quad-core 3.2 Ghz and a Radeon HD 5770 (8 GB ram & Win 7 64 bit) at Maximum 1920x1080
So, my laptop's fairly old. I got it about 2~3 years ago...
This is on Medium settings:

There's not much I can do hardware wise, but is there anything maybe I could do in terms of software and drivers? I could have sworn I got over 2000 before during my first try, but I tampered a bit with the drivers and then before I knew it, the score dipped down a bit.
Any suggestions?
Finally joined the 8K club today:

I got my score up a bit, im ok with it

I'm crazy confused, I just ran on medium, got 6279 and when I tried running on high it doesn't show anything (yet still wracks up the points). Apparently choosing "improve overall graphic quality" completely kills any video for me, no clue why. So if I unclick that and run, I get a blurry picture for everything, any idea why or suggestions? (I'm retarded with computers, but I know I'm running it on a Radeon HD 5750 and a computer I bought in Oct with AMD Six Core FX-6120 processor, 10GB DDR3 System mem). Is this to be expected? I was led to believe my machine was better and at least capable of handling something like this a bit better. Thanks!
Most likely driver issues with your video card. There's a post in the FFXIV Tech Thread, which discusses a similar issue and has a solution.
Edit: Here's a link to one post discussing this. http://www.bluegartr.com/threads/114...=1#post5610410
Thanks, I'll try there. Hopefully I'll be able to follow along lol
I'm a little wary to update my drivers just for a benchmar; Nivida has a way of decreasing performance after updating...
Is anyone able to help me? I'm not the best with computers and just ran this and on medium got a lower score than I anticipated, and then when I tried bumping it up to higher settings I can't even get video, yet the score still runs. Its specifically when "Improve overall graphics quality" is turned on that I get no video. Also, I don't see magical effects at all, such as black/white magic, and at the end (Im guessing the blm casts meteor on the wyrm?)

Higher Run

Edit: Just watched a youtube of the benchmark, yea I get no ability/magic effects or even stuff like the sunbeam/glare on the camera sad day. Meteor looked pretty cool too.
1 Attempt 1920x1080 Max with my normal OC. I bet I can squeeze 7k out of my system. No idea how much I'd get with SLI working.
Running i2500k @ 4.2ghz
