A little, it stays pretty cool. max around 40c on OC CPU, and max around 70c on OC GPU's on certain games. Although FFXIV runs a little cooler, even at 5960x1080

Yep, 780s max even on OC'd are cool. I have a dream with two more monitors going at 7680x1600 lol.

That 2400mhz ram really nice boost Dillingr. What was your settings on the OC? mine only max out at +89 or so =/

Depending on the game, you could get a capped frame rate during loading screens and menu screens or unlimited frame rates, Vsync determines this in a lot of cases.

That said, during the benchmark w/o vsync, I get several hundred FPS during loading screens. Those frames don't count, but it shouldn't be dropping to 17fps.

    @tyche

Your 660 ti was killing it last bench wasn't it? You were getting like 8k scores weren't you? or do I have you confused?
Yeah, the very first bench it would pull about 7800. That was overclocking it pretty hard. Nothing I'd run continuously. Some people are getting boosts of 2000+ with this bench. I can get about 9k overclocked.

Only at +513 on the Memory offset, having slight issues with OCing the Clock offset. Need better drivers that work with the 4770k. CPU is OC 4.5 @ 1.2V, RAM is 2400Mhz @ 1.65V
Benchmarks where done with the newest 326.41 Beta Drivers.

CFX seems really broken for this benchmark. I can get it working by creating a custom profile for ffxiv.exe and using the "AFR Friendly" preset. But my GPU usage hovers around 60-70% throughout most of the benchmark, this is on both GPUs using the new 13.8 framepacing driver

The laptop I bought to replace my old one, and not use for gaming makes me sad by comparison to you guys.

I DO have a friend who's willing to build me a half-decent gaming PC, though, and I'd only use it for XIV. What should I be looking for parts-wise for a moderately high to fairly high performance in some of the higher quality settings?

My system isn't as good as the ones I see on here, I wish I could afford that much, but I saw a pretty big buff in scores between the 2 benchmarks as well, about a 2000 increase. The txt file says 70.4 fps average.

This thread inspired me to check my SLI settings and it turns out I've had them off the whole time I've had this computer built. (Since May lol)
I was getting 10350 to 10500 before I changed the settings.
    Now:

I can't believe some of the scores that I am seeing here, I tried to get my PC to pump out but this is the best score I can get.

They're all so much higher than mine that it makes me slightly sad. My card was decent when 1.0 came out damn it, lol.

So yesterday I went out and purchased a EVGA 570 to replace my 460 because she is starting to show signs of failure. The only reason i purchased the 570 was because I got it for 125 friggin dollars lol.

My 460 was pulling around 5k on this new benchmark on High settings. The 570 after a clean install pushed out a 8200 on maximum, and after some tinkering this was my final score:

    [IMG][/IMG]

Not to shabby for $125. Also for reference my 2500k is OC to 4.5ghz as well. I was pretty shocked at the 570 running stable 850/2000 @mV 963, that seems to be a very nice OC.

If 8k+ is considered extremely high, what differences are the folks getting 20k+ plus going to see in the game?

    More frames........
More stability in demanding settings, FATEs, stuff with a lot of action going on.
The DX11 patch will be more demanding.

    And most important, Huge Epeen
