I've seen that pic a bunch of times but I've never tried identifying all the chars before, I can't figure out who the girl before Denam is supposed to be. The ones before her are 3/4 of the Phorena sisters but she doesn't look anything like the one that's missing.

Denam, Catiua, Vyce, Warren, Lanselot, Ravness, Canopus, Mirdyn(?), Deneb, Leonar(?), Cistina, Sherri-Cerya, ???

I assume that's Leonar, he wore pretty generic armor and was fairly important to the story and which route you take at the end of the first chapter. Assuming it is him he could be facing away since he's the only character on there that dies no matter what choices you make (idk if it's intentional that he's opposite Vyce but that would make sense too).

I tested the crosswalk button theory here recently at the university where I work. Without pressing the button, the traffic went through four cycles with no "Walk" signal. Pressed the button and I got my walk after 1 cycle. Went to Hot Springs yesterday and did the same thing. Walk signals would not come up without the button.

For some reason I would rather believe it's not a placebo but that the ones you're talking about are not well maintained.
