I hope the system is as different from GW2's as it can be. Having to keep the physical item in your inventory and having to manually summon the pet every time you change areas is terrible.

Hoping they looked at Warcraft's for this one.

You end up with 1hp. It seems you will die if you got aggro on you though (probably to stop people from escaping like that

Sounds like fall damage can't actually kill you (leaves you at 1HP at the most) unless you are in battle.

Also, official Q&A was just updated:

Q18: Could you please explain a bit on the item bind system and why it was implemented?

A18: All items that generate 1 spiritbond will become bound. The largest reason for this is that "used" gear will flood the marketplace and it will become difficult for crafters to break into the market, so we are implementing this to stimulate the marketplace.

I can't remember if it was ever confirmed that this would work on all items or not. Well, no more guessing now.

Looks like NPCs related to the Main Scenario quest line will have a specific icon different from the other quest NPCs. It seems it is in the shape of the ARR Meteor Logo.

EDIT: They showed more FATE, this one was automatic tho. Seems like it just depends on the FATE.

Direct translation from Bayohne on the Lodestone forums about a question regarding the new gear set system.

Q26: You previously stated that you will be changing how the gear set works. Could you be a little more specific?

A26: We are planning to completely overhaul the gear set system. The temporary, work-in-progress, name for the new system is called the "Armoury Board." The current plan is to show a catalogue of items that player owns and players will be able to create different alias for their created gear sets.
