Unused Gamertags to be Re-released on May 18thhttps://majornelson.com/2016/05/16/r...sing-may-18th/Starting on Wednesday, May 18th @2:00pm ET / 11:00AM PT, we will begin releasing nearly one million Gamertags to our valued Xbox Live Gold members with active subscriptions and at least 1 year of cumulative Xbox Live Gold tenure. These Gamertags will be released over a 24-hour period, to give our fans in various countries an equal chance to get one.
These Gamertags are from accounts abandoned from the original Xbox era, the same source of Gamertags we used in our 2011 release. These accounts never migrated to Xbox 360 and as a result they have been inactive for quite some time.
While it may be challenging to find the exact Gamertag you want, keep trying, as there are many great Gamertags that will be released. Although we can’t share the actual list, we can tell you that many of the available Gamertags are in the following categories:
- Proper Names
- Pop culture references (Entertainment, sports, gaming)
- Types of Food
- Geography and Travel
- Science and Technology
- Math and Numbers
- Animals
- Some of the greatest inventions of all time
Access to these newly-released Gamertags will be available on Xbox.com, which is the most convenient way to make a Gamertag change. Xbox Live Gold members can also access these Gamertags within the Xbox App on Windows 10 and on the Xbox One console. Xbox 360 owners will need to use Xbox.com, the Xbox App on Windows 10, or an Xbox One console to participate given that access to these newly-released Gamertags is not available from an Xbox 360 console. Click here to change your Gamertag on the web.
June GWG are Goat Simulator and The Crew for XB1, and Super Meat Boy and XCOM: Enemy Unknown for 360.
weak on xbone, won't mind having xcom tho

Rumor: XBone Mini later this Year, XBone 1.5 in 2017http://kotaku.com/sources-smaller-xb...erf-1778634446Later this year we’ll see a cheaper, smaller Xbox One, and next year Microsoft will release a more powerful version of their premiere console.
The 2017 Xbox, which is codenamed Scorpio, will have a more powerful GPU, according to three people familiar with this model, speaking anonymously because they were not authorized to speak about Microsoft’s plans. We hear that it will also be technically capable of supporting the Oculus Rift and that Microsoft is pursuing a partnership with Oculus. As for 2016, sources have told us there’s at least a more compact version coming by year’s end. One source believed it will include a larger 2TB hard drive, double the capacity of the most spacious current model. We’re expecting Microsoft to announce the more compact machine at E3 next month.
The two consoles form part of a wider Microsoft strategy, codenamed “Project Helix” according to one source, to converge Xbox and Windows.
Developer sources have told us that Microsoft’s new mandate is to release future games–including the flagship Halo series–on both platforms.
Microsoft plans to move towards an incremental model, with more frequent hardware releases and games that are both forwards and backwards compatible across both Windows 10 and different Xbox models.

Don't have an Xbox but was shocked to see nobody posted this here. Was an error on Xbox store and Fallout 4 is free along with all its DLC.
Still is as of like 15 minutes ago. I have no intention of playing it but I "bought" it anyway just to see what would happen haha.

XBone Slim leak
The new unit will be 40 percent smaller than the current model, feature a 2 terabyte hard-drive, support for 4K video, high dynamic range, a “streamlined” controller, and a vertical stand.
According to the leaker of this, this was going to be the climax for the Microsoft conference.
