Have said this multiple times to my friends and I think a couple times in this thread.

Gamefly isn't going anywhere. Even if PS4 does the exact same thing, all that means is they don't have to spend money to buy next generation games and I'm 95% positive that there are enough people using Gamefly for older games or will continue using it for games from this generation that they can skate on by to the next generation that will (hopefully) not have all this bullshit.

If PS4 isn't doing the same thing then they get to have those games and will 100% be fine. Yeah they will initially have some drop-off but there is a userbase that won't simply disappear because of stupid shit like this. There is also WiiU games.

Redbox can just stop doing games and go back to exclusively movies, and Blockbuster is already on it's deathbed.

Don't think it's been mentioned, but apparently you can grant access to your entire games library to up to 10 family members. Not sure how they'll confirm who's family, but I can see some Xbox bros exploiting this.

Considering there is a 24 hour check in, I'm sure they could check the IP address against the one that the console is registered with. They could be sub accounts bound to the console as well. As in the only console the other accounts (non master) works on is the console the account is registered on.

Safe to assume that those 10 family members will have to use the XBoner the main account is tied to to play any of those games.

I was watching ST:TOS on Netflix on my 360 last night and it occurred to me that MS probably looked at all the people that used to play video games on their 360s and now watch Mythbusters and other series on their Netflixboxes and must have said "Well, obviously this is what people really want from their gaming consoles."

The article I read said that this is possible because the entire games library is uploaded to the cloud, so just from that statement I'm thinking it can be on different consoles. Should hear more at e3 about how it'll all work.

The whole game rental/gamefly thing repercussions thing kind of irks me, now that I'm thinking about it. I mean, it was nice to be able to rent something and see if you actually liked it before committing the 60 bucks to a new release. I haven't done that in years, but I'm sure there's plenty of people who currently do (And I probably should, can't count how many titles I've bought and played for a week then didn't touch again for literally years when I coulda gotten them for bargain price). Point is, looking at it from that perspective, its really can come down to a dirty trick to part you from your money for either a bad title, or a title you just don't enjoy.

Not like you can just return it if you buy it at Gamestop, lol. I mean, bad games still come out, and they still get a 60 dollar price tag.
