Just saw this. Pretty bad. People in the theater I was in were laughing hard at some of the dumber scenes. When it ended lots of people were loudly proclaiming how much they hated it.

Aliens and T2 are classics that I hope never lose that designation in people's eyes. They're still crazy entertaining to watch to this day.
Both movies benefit greatly from using conventional special effects. Even to this day the movies don't really look all that dated.
That's a great point. It's one thing that I love especially about Alien. The giveaway is the actors appearances (hair styles, clothing) and the tech stuff. But the way the movie is shot and the effects are great where I'm fully immersed. Same with T2. So many incredible scenes in that movie that I could go on and on. Linda Hamilton delivered one of the greatest performances of all time.
in fairness the CGI in T2 is also God damn amazing for its time
Oh no doubt. And with it mostly being reserved for scenes involving the T-1000 in metal state, it's held up very well because many of the telltale signs of dated CGI (lower res textures and a general lack of detail) aren't really visible.
The T-1000 melting thru the door following that clip is still one of the most mind blowing things I've ever seen in a movie.
Fun little clip from one of the extras in T3 for the uninitiated.
Saw it last night. Once I shut my damn brain off, it was enjoyable. Before hand though it was getting to mind numbingly stupid with how pants on head retarded the crew was. It really seemed like it was trying to take what made both Alien and Aliens great and mash it up together and it couldn't figure out if it wanted to be a horror movie or action movie.
Pred Aliens Terminator are all pretty amazing series. I'd love to say Robocop too... but I really can't.
Only the first Predator movie is any good (tho Predators is at least passable), whereas the first two RoboCop movies are good.
an absolute fucking abortion, stay the fuck away
Had some glaring issues, but overall I enjoyed it.
the one good thing is it wasn't quite as ponderously and pretentiously philosophical as was Prometheus. it's just everything else.
i can't believe this is the same man who made Alien and Bladerunner once upon a time.
Don't forget Gladiator and American Gangster!
While it was better than Prometheus it still wasn't that good.Spoiler: show
