Was having crashing issues tonight. Every few minutes. I unloaded timers and it's been fine since.

I'm crashing logging out or logging between mules. Wondering what's causing it, sometimes see the 'Hello Eldelphia' message from Guildwork just before I exit a character.

I see that in current non-beta Windower, too, so probably isn't related to W4.

Distance.dll crashes me on old and new Windower at times when I /shutdown. Also I was getting crashes when relogging on mule on old Windower, /unloadall was preventing that from happening. I haven’t tried relogging on mule yet with the new one, but I guess inevitably a lot of people will be testing that one with Bonanza marbles results out today.

Autoexec does that. I was hoping v4 had fixed that but it seems not.

On a semi related note: My mule crashed while trading marbles in. Another mule was able to trde just fine before then so it might be another person casting warp that triggered the crash.
This beta crashes way too much for my taste so far.

Sorry it crashes a lot, but the only way for us to fix the crashes is getting error reports, crash dumps, etc. It is a beta test after all~

Good to know that's being collected

For people crashing on logging out (and over the mules and such), add this to your init.txt file.

    alias logout unloadall;input /logout

It creates an alias that unload all the plugins and pretty much stops the crashes. Just type "//logout" to logout instead of "/logout"

  10. #70

Does Windower 4 reload plugins on character login? There's also a real nasty bug when unloading Spellcast, rendering it useless on a reload in 3.4.

It doesn't reload, but windower4 users could simply type //exec init.txt after like they always could.

Question about the "aecho" addon that was posted in the past 24hrs... Is there some command you need to use to start it? I couldn't seem to get it to do anything. Looks promising.

Also, still no direct answer on multiboxing and changing background resolution while full screen for each client. Ideas?

My SC works with unload to reload.

  13. #73

Yeah, I've never had any issues with reloading spellcast after unloadall and logging.

  14. #74

Run some tests if you will, do a reload of the plug-in and then /heal, after that try shortcut macros. I probably shouldn't say real nasty, it's only because I use shortcuts very often. I just reproduced the bug; reload, check //cure4 me, /heal, recheck //cure4 me and I get a command error. The gear swaps are there, the spell isn't casting.

    Just checked and works fine.

Using 2.47, happens on all of my clients with/without an xml loaded. The shortcuts do not work after a reload of Spellcast. I shouldn't derail the thread though, I only pointed it out because it's outstanding for me when it comes to unloading a plug-in that I thought maybe others observe it as well. As of right now, I may be the only one and ending with a quick note that this also occurred with previous versions of Spellcast for me.

Understandable. I'd be less annoyed with it if the data as to why the crash happened could be collected somehow for me to report. I mostly just get xi crashing and no visible log of any kind to copy/paste to the developers.

I'm feeling that may have been a stab at us. The launcher doesn't collect crash logs.

The best way is to use windbg to make a crash dump then post it on our issues tracker, I can't link you to windbg though yet sorry xD Such a noob D:

    Probably wasn't:

Also, I'm having trouble making crash dumps because there aren't any error messages to pause the process. Currently I've been doing this:
    1) Wait for a crash
    2) start menu, taskmgr
    3) "Show All processes"
    4) Right click the crashing program, Create Dump
    5) Zip it up and send it to you guys

But if there's no error message I obviously don't have enough time to do that. How should I be doing it instead?

I made an lua addon that when you type the //stna command sends a command to your alt to cast -na spells on you based on status effects you have gained during battle. Now, i didn't add erase because that's easy to just macro, but it's based on a priority queue inside the stna.lua file. (priority is left to right top to bottom i had them numbered but lua didn't like that) You may change the priority as you wish. Anyway here it is (you'll need 3 files i'll post them in seperate code blocks.. just put tablehelper/mathhelper in <windowerfolder>/addons/libs/ That way later addons later can use it if need be)

Edit: Changed some of the wording. Also, this addon uses send addon or multisend command to send the -na spell command.
edit2 Evidently arcon put requirement for mathhelper in tablehelper and i didn't notice it. adding it.

    stna.lua
    Code:
    require 'tablehelper'

    function event_load()
