Just wanted to add that I still couldn't trade the nugget in after the maintenance so you HAVE to mine it. Reives dropping it do NOT work.

Man, I am so frustrated that I can't get anything done or make any Bayld.
Are Colonization/Lair reives basically impossible for WHM or any support job? Because I try to backline heal and I keep losing my Rieve tags and getting no credit, or if I do try to go up there with the DD's and "front line heal/support" I either die or don't get enough contribution to get much of anything.
And before you ask, no I don't have a good dd set/good club for WHM, and a BRD friend is complaining of similar issues.

They just added in points for healing and enhancing cause well they forgot to put it in apparently so try on mages now.
Er, no offense, but what is this going out to prove? That colonization reives affect colonization %? I'm pretty certain we knew that! The issue was not knowing of any cases where Lair Reives upped %, but now we have them.
Also, yes, the maint today says it fixed curing/enhancing. I don't do shit on mage jobs in Reives yet, so I can't tell you if it's true. I see no reason they'd put up notes for it if it wasn't though.

My post wasn't to "prove" that they were wrong, it was to provide information so that people didn't think Lair Reives were the ONLY way to affect colonization, which is an impression that could have been left based on the initial post. That's all.
Also, the maint today didn't fix healing/enhancing (per post from OF), it changes the evalation from 10/1000 to 1/100 and fixed the geo issue of not learning something at 14 like it was supposed to.
The healing/enhancing fix still has to occur. edit: apparently this was fixed? Based on Nynja's post in the maint thread. However, based on my experiences, not fixed at all.

The following issue has been fixed:
- Actions such as casting healing and enhancement spells are not evaluated during reives.
i think all 3 Reives would contribute to Colonization %. The problem really is that people don't know what does what yet.
current hypothesis is:
Colonization/Lair reives increase Colonization %.
Wildskeeper reives are either linked to lair reives directly, or colonization %. also possibly coalition rank.
for Bivouacs to be set up you need to do Courier supplies quests to them.
for assignments to be given for further areas you need to colonize enough of the adjacent area, ie. Yahse -> Morimar, and Ceizak -> Foret.
also for maps probably.

It's not good. You can sleepga all the mobs so people can hit on the root, but you don't get credit for it. Can basically tri-man a reive with two sleeps and someone killing root, but only the person hitting root gets exp/bayld?

Just for fun: Knotted Roots are treated as Plantoids.
They also have mp to aspir.
So just incase it matters, I wanted to try something out.
Doing Courrier, frontline whatever...I turned one character in to Bivouac #1 in Ceizak, and one to Bivouac #3, same area. Both got the same reward of 500. I'm surprised the reward isnt better the deeper you go, unless it goes by area, and not distance >.>
Same reward I got as yesterday though, so if theres a repetition penalty, it cools down after JP mid.
Pet jobs can attack root without getting aggro from helper mobs.
In the last 4 hours on Slyph, Reives have turned into nothing but a bunch of bst and smn burning down the root/nest.
