    FIFA `14 (PC/PS4/XB1/PS3/360/Wii/Vita/3DS/PSP/Mobile)

Electronic Arts today unveiled innovations to the greatest sports game on the planet that will enable fans to experience the emotion of scoring great goals when playing EA Sports FIFA 14 on the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system, Xbox 360 videogame and entertainment system and PC.

Innovations to the franchise’s award-winning gameplay will make FIFA 14 the complete matchday experience, introducing features that inspire fans to build play through midfield, dictate the tempo of a match and create rewarding opportunities. Great matches are achieved through measured build up and incredible finishing. A new feature in FIFA 14 called Pure Shot and a brand-new ball physics system will transform shooting, making every shot attempt feel real, and when players connect with the perfect strike, feel exhilarating.

“FIFA 14 will play the way great matches are contested with build up through midfield, tension throughout the match as chances are created, and incredible finishing,” said David Rutter, Executive Producer for FIFA 14. “Opportunities in FIFA 14 will be rewarding and great goals will look stunning.”

Finishing has been transformed with Pure Shot so players have the intelligence to adjust their stride and approach angle to find the best position for hitting the back of the net. Well-hit balls feel more exhilarating and rewarding. New shot types include pure strikes, as well as off-balance and rushed shots. Plus, Real Ball Physics now determines the trajectories of balls, enabling players to kick the ball with force from distance, drill low rising shots with accuracy, and blast dipping or turbulent shots, just like real players.

Fans will be able to create rewarding build up to opportunities and have the tools to dictate the tempo of a match through four new features. Protect The Ball will enable players to fend-off and block defenders from the ball while dribbling at any speed, or out-muscle opponents for position before receiving the pass, then turn defenders to carve out opportunities. Teammate Intelligence has been improved on both sides of the ball. New decision-making logic delivers tighter, smarter marking and improved run tracking where defenders recognize opportunities to provide support and win back possession, while attacking players have new ways to outsmart their opponents by creating space for themselves, running along the backline and checking their pace. Major changes to ball control add new tools to win the midfield battles. Sprint Dribble Turns enable players to turn in every direction at sprint speed while preserving momentum, delivering the control and confidence to take on defenders one-on-one. Variable Dribble Touches introduces variety on touches when sprinting. Skilled players will have better touch and more control when sprinting with the ball.

In addition to innovations to gameplay, FIFA 14 is introducing a game-changing new way to play Career Mode. The Global Scouting Network brings the world of professional scouting to life. Players now develop and refine a scouting network and search for talent year-round. Scouts can evaluate players all over the world to uncover the attributes and traits of every player in the game, in preparation for the transfer windows. Plus, a new hub delivers easy navigation, fewer interruptions and live scouting reports.

FIFA 14 will deliver engaging online features and live services that connect fans to the heartbeat of the sport—and to each other—through EA Sports Football Club, making FIFA 14 soccer's social network, where fans connect, compete and share with millions of others around the world. The game will also feature:

    • Changes to the wildly popular FIFA Ultimate Team

    • A new online Mode that will encourage social competition

    • Multiple new features and benefits to EA Sports Football Club, the live service that is the heartbeat of FIFA

    • Complete authenticity with more than 500 officially licensed clubs.

FIFA 14 is in development at EA Canada and will be available in stores world-wide this fall. Additional platforms will be revealed in the months ahead.

According to the representative, “Ultimate Team is being developed for both Xbox One and PS4″.

If such a comment confuses you, you’re not alone, because yesterday, many – myself included – were under the impression the content was exclusive to Xbox One after EA Sports boss Andrew Wilson came on stage during the Xbox One event. Wilson indicated Ultimate Team, a popular mode in FIFA, will be “only on Xbox”.

Also yesterday, EA COO Peter Moore told Bloomberg the content was exclusive as well, but made a point to state the game was still coming to PS4 – but the add on about the PS4 came at the end of his comment, so it could have been construed as anything.

Apparently some of the features in Ultimate Team will either be a timed exclusive on Xbox One or totally exclusive.

Was hoping to see QPR losing on the scoreboard at the end.

Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez & Lionel Messi make the cover
    http://image.noelshack.com/fichiers/...ifa14-x360.jpg
Electronic Arts today announced that EA SPORTS has signed one of Mexico’s most popular and accomplished footballers, Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez, to a multi-year endorsement contract that will see him make his debut on the cover of FIFA 14 in Mexico, and on one of two covers in the United States. Chicharito will appear wearing the Mexican national team home kit alongside the world’s top footballer, Barcelona and Argentina superstar Lionel Messi. Fans in the United States will also have the option to choose the global cover featuring an iconic image of the world’s No. 1 player, Messi.

Chicharito is a natural goal scorer beloved by fans in Mexico for his exceptional performances and goal-scoring track record since he took the world stage with the Mexican national team at the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa. The 25-year-old is already the fifth highest goal scorer of all-time for the Mexican national team. In addition, Chicharito has gained international admiration for three incredibly successful seasons with Manchester United Football Club.

“We have long admired the flair and passion Chicharito brings to the sport,” said David Rutter, Executive Producer of FIFA 14. “With Hernandez on our team we have Mexico’s best and most exciting player to help EA SPORTS make a deeper connection with our fans.”

“For me it's a real honor to have been selected to appear on the cover of FIFA 14, first of all because I declare myself a big fan of this game, and second because I’m looking forward to sharing my passion for football and EA SPORTS FIFA 14 with fans all over the world,” said Hernandez.

The multi-faceted partnership will see Chicharito become an EA SPORTS Football Ambassador. He will become the cornerstone of marketing and advertising campaigns in Mexico and North America, featured on packaging and utilized in social media activities. Chicharito will appear on the cover of FIFA 14 on the Xbox 360 games and entertainment system with Kinect from Microsoft, and the PlayStation 3 computer entertainment system with PlayStation Move support.

Yeah, mostly for the Mexicans in the US and Mexico (I've got no data, but FIFA/PES are probably best sellers in Mexico, Brazil, etc.). FIFA usually has regional covers, back then I remember them having 15+ covers for Europe only, star player for each major league.

By the way, funny they are still supporting ps2. I suppose to cover asian markets and others who haven't upgraded to ps3. So by the end of this year, we'll have FIFA 14 covering 3-non handheld PlayStation (there will also be vita/psp versions) ps2, ps3 and ps4

Edit: In fact this will be the final game ever to be released for PS2.

When it was announced, it was just the 3 listed. Now it's (PC/PS4/XB1/PS3/360/Wii/Vita/PSP/3DS/Android/iOS). There seems to mix messages about the PS2 as the wiki lists it, but the official site does not. Also, lol @ no WiiU support.

Kind of hilarious even PS2 is getting support, but no Wii U.
I am beyond excited to play a FIFA game in glorious next-gen graphics on my preordered PS4.

Tottenham Hotspur superstar Gareth Bale will make his debut on the cover of FIFA 14 in the UK, Ireland and Middle East when the game launches this September. Landing the cover is a thrill for Bale, who has been a fan of the FIFA franchise for over a decade.

"The players on the front cover since I was a kid have obviously been legends of the game," says Bale. "It's a great honor for me and I'm very proud of it."

The two-time PFA Player of the Year is one of the Barclays Premier League’s most accomplished talents and widely regarded as one of the best players in the world. Bale will join Barcelona and Argentina star Lionel Messi on the FIFA 14 cover.

EA Sports captured Gareth Bale’s free kick technique via motion capture and this will feature in FIFA 14. Bale was also filmed performing a series of athletic drills, passes and shots to capture his likeness and to showcase features such as FIFA 14’s Pure Shot, which allows for new and rewarding ways to score.

Bale, who was awarded the Best Young Player of the Year for the 2012-13 season will also serve as an EA Sports Football ambassador.

Bale joins Arturo Vidal of Juventus, Mexico’s Javier "Chicharito" Hernández and FIFA 14's global cover athlete, Lionel Messi. Stay tuned for more cover announcements for other regions in the coming weeks.

Interesting, Bale seems a bit of a stretch, makes me think they must feel like they need to get people sold on an improved free kick/crossing system or something.
