I want honest discussion here. NBC intermission dudes are basically saying that Crosby was too strong to be pulled down, implying that Crosby had the responsibility (that other players wouldn't have) to stay on his skates. I'll be the first to want more consistency in calls, but you know what makes that not a penalty? Don't put both your hands on around the shoulder of a player who has already beaten you.

I was finally able to watch the replay a couple of times, and maybe I'm missing something, but it looks like Crosby's right skate is kicked out from under him by the Islander... and that's more why he goes down than the hands. I'd love to see a different angle to get more perspective, though.

That penalty would rarely be called in regular season OT, let alone the playoffs, let alone playoff OT. This is the problem. It was there, it was just weak as hell is the problem.

Damn Pens game was too early for my ass, working til 5 there was no way I was getting up for the game if I wanted to be any less than a total zombie tonight ... phone kept buzzing with updates though and I remember seeing the score a few times and thinking, "fuck this, it's just gonna piss me off."

Then they pull out an OT win, first round fuckers, can't keep doing this shit. I expected a little trouble from the Isles, not a lot of it. If we're struggling this much as the 1st seed against the 8th seed then if (yes, if) we make it to the next round we are going to get obliterated. They need to step their game up and get back to their Game 1 mentality.

Caps played an amazing OT. For some reason people calling into sports radio keep talking about the goalie situation. It don't matter who is in. The issue is lack of scoring. Twins, Burrows, Edler, Roy all disappearing.
