sounds like 2 mura SAMs and 2 RNGs or so should be enough for that last 25% then?

Oyay, it worked. Sweet. A few people asked so there's the raw data from Muyingwa.
Legend is a 99gun + Achiyalabopa Bullets
I had 90 gun and Achiyalabopa Bullets
Vasch was a 75 gun with Damascus Bullets (he ran out of Adlivun lol)
Lithdrae was a 99 Yoichi with Achiyalabopa Arrows
Hellknight Oatixur MNK
Llewelyn Tsuru/Murasamemaru SAM
Oswin Ryuno99 DRG
Are we sure Mura bypasses DT? Seems like he parsed really low with that taken into consideration, and I know Llew is a top tier SAM
Yeah, shoha average leads me to believe it doesn't? I just know a group downed it without rng and used mura sam as primary damage under 25, assumed it was a full bypass. Unless he forgot to use mura for whatever reason that is.
Smooth, unrushed fight. Killed with 4+ minutes left in zone. 4:24 fight duration. Setup same as before, 4 RNG/COR/BRD and MNK/SAM/DRG/COR/BRD/WHM.
Changes:
Oswin now has Upukirex
Legend forgot to eat food for half the fight
Vasch/Stani have 90 gun with Achiyalabopa Bullets
Llewelyn said he used his Mura at around 25-20%
2/2 on the night with the first clear literally coming less than a second before zoneout.
Spoiler: show
Oh, and fucking hats.
Spoiler: show
rng is definately the best. nothing to cure and good dmg throughout.
the only downside is rng will kill the NMs enroute to muyingwa slower but killing muyingwa faster evens out everything.
The pug i went with had no rng and we reached boss with 13 mins remaining and finished with 3 mins remaining... so yea... it kinda same in the end :X
it still isnt "bad" on hitting brick wall with melee setup, as long you have time, you will still win.
also to support others testimony, mastop can die in a fire
NM Fight times if anyone is curious:
Scorp 4:48
Chapuli 4:29
Twitherym 4:23
Mastop 5:04
Tax'et 5:40ish
Muyingwa 4:24
Curious how you got Mastop that low time-wise with all the RNGs (someone using Armageddon I think was mentioned, although I think our MNK didn't formless for a bit); ours was in the 7 min region, but we picked up some time on Twitherym and Muyingwa. We killed Muyingwa in just under 4 minutes with that setup and had ~2 minutes left in zone at that point. Once we get more comfortable with it, I'm sure we'll shave down times and have a much larger cushion for clearing as it's really not that hard. We went 1/1 with the same setup; it's really all about the scorpion.
In Squah's group, just finished another Bee run went 3/3 tonight and brought a buyer since squah left XD. Vasch uploading video now of the bee fight but there really isn't much to see...
Honestly like this zone more than shark. Lesser 5 NM on shark are easier but shark can be annoying and drawn out. This zone its basically if you fuck up on scorp you exit and re-enter and go again. Once you beat scorp its smooth sailing.
yea scorp is a bitch.... CS stun it below 30% prolly advised.
rng PT kill mastop fast O_O. Even faster if you have wildfire RNGs i'd imagine.
drk mnk drg kill mastop too slow, unless u have muras sam and have multiple mnks for formless strikes rotation
Aaaaaaand the video of the kill http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6oDD...ature=youtu.be
gdi I would miss the buyer run because of work
And to answer your question Okiru, as far as I am aware, the MNK did not formless on Mastop (I could be wrong) and every RNG was using Coronach with Annihilator, no Wildfires used. When I get home from work tonight I'll put the parse data for our Mastop in here.
RNGs just pound Mastop. We were able to replicate about 3:30-4 min kills with melee/rng hybrid that we aren't able to do with two melee parties. Probably due to a piercing weakness and the fact that they have like 329 base damage?
We have the mnks rotate using formless (2 MNK DRG, 4 RNG for dds). The biggest thing is just making sure someone puts dia back up after discharge. We noticed having a person, probably the GEO, to do this sped up the fight by almost double.
Anyone sitting idle spams debuffs on Mastop. Since you don't want him stunned, SCHs spam helices, dia, poison 1, BRDs spam nocturne and threnody (NOT FUCKIN ELEGY) and damage increase is noticeable (300~ to 600+ per shot).
RNG pretty much never need healing except for Scorpion if it gets an undebuffed Earthbreaker off. Safely TP and WS 20.1 away, set it and forget it.
I'm guessing buffs are
Minuet V IV III II
Archer/Hunter Prelude
Hunter's/Chaos/Courser's/Rogue's rolls
Is that right?
My LS has an abundance of relic RNGs (I think my new Anni makes 8 or 9) and haven't broken the wall yet of a MB win with melee methods, so we're thinking about throwing RNGs at everything now. Any feedback would be appreciated (we're starting with Tojil in hopes of unlocking better melee equip, have beads if necessary).
edit: I just noticed that Lithdrae switched from Yoichi 99 to BRD from the 1st to the 2nd ones you posted - is Yoichi infeasible? Or is it just that Anni is much better with the new ammo?
Right on with the buffs, Shadida. Our first attempt we had tried tacticians/samurai in place of the fourth roll, but it is largely insignificant with recycle cap augment. Rogues was the best choice to take advantage of dead aim's insane crit damage boost. The regular DD PT had standard marches/mins/mads/Scherzo
In terms of 5NM plus boss with only RNG I only see it being possible in ceizak. Foret requires lots of formless/mura damage and Kurma is -not- RNG friendly in Morimar, nor the first 25% of Tojil (where formless shines). If you want to bead it up, fuck yeah RNG can clear it safely and easily with a decoy.
Lithdrae switched because Stani (our other 4song BRD) finished his gun to 90 and LS mates saw that I did somewhat comparable to our 99 on our first clear with my 90, so we switched them in place since lith is a 3song/horn BRD. Its not that Yoichi is infeasible, just currently inferior:
99 yoichi + achiyalabopa = 215 dmg
A99ilator + achiyalabopa = 329 plus a far superior WS to go all out (Last Stand)
Iirc as I was getting off vent I remember Sukian saying our buyer was filling my spot as a 99 yoichi, and I can assume he doesnt have boss ammo if he's buying a bee clear. I happened to be near top of parse so obviously swapping me for a bow wasn't enough of a hindrance to cause a failed run. Just as an aside, Vasch, Stani and I have very little RNG experience. Closest thing I have to it was Soboro SAM/RNG at 75 cap meriting.
I think that every time Mastop uses Emetic Dischsrge, his DT goes up/down depending on how many debuffs are transferred. There would be times where he'd back to back quickly with low debuff count, and I'd get one bullet off for 800, and after the second discharge damage would drop to the 300 range. Food for thought
Has anyone tried 'tomahawk" on Muyingwa to remove the DT? Just wondering whether warrior would be a feasible job to bring, given Ixtab and all.
Few things I've noticed:
It's well-known that mastop needs a balance of damage types, and that his -DT has nothing to do with enfeebles. The only reason rangers do well in a hybrid setup is because you have a balance of different damage types. If you try to fight mastop with 6 RNG for instance, you're in for a wonderful treat. Even 3 RNGs can be slow at times if the melees are weak or dead, which is why armageddon is a much better choice if possible. Wildfire does 3.4k while coronach often drops below 2k. Other groups may not notice as much because they're using yoichi RNGs, or lower level-annihilators (thus ranged damage is low), but with 3 99 annihilators, ranged damage drops significantly. Conversely, melee damage rises.
Only 2 enfeebles are required to force emetic discharge. Dia and helix work fine. You can stun him all you want. I would recommend stunning the spells. No reason to let breakga/dispelga/slowga go off.
Almost positive that SAM roll would be better than rogue's, or tact, unless people aren't using accuracy gear. Lowering x-hit on RNG is far more significant than a crit rate boost. Either that or replace courser's roll with tact/sam. Tact or SAM should be in the rotation somewhere.
On scorpion RNG can stand in sweet spot after 50%. There are no AoE attacks at that point other than earthbreaker, which is impossible to avoid anyway (other than CS stun). CS stun + RNG spamming last stand after 50 (make sure to wait for message to pop) seems to be the fastest way to kill. As was already said, if you screw up, just exit.
This might sound harsh, but yoichi is very very far behind annihilator currently. I would probably go /DRG and use delve gun instead. Assuming everything is stunned on the bee, there's really nothing to worry about. COR can reset high jumps too. I had someone use delve gun in my group, and it worked fine.
I believe it's possible that these bosses resist or are unaffected by mura/requiescat damage? I went BLU to shark recently, mainly to kill the krabguy since we didn't have mura SAM, and requiescat damage was pretty poor, even with angon dia frailty SV songs and rolls. It only did around 1500, while vorpal was much higher. Normally it does anywhere from 3k-5k fully buffed. I haven't tried (nor do I plan to) vs. Tojil or Bee but perhaps they designed them so you couldn't bypass the -DT with mura/requiescat? I know this is just speculation, but you'll have to take my word that my requiescat damage was absolutely horrible at all stages of the fight, 75-100, 50-75, 25-50, 0-25.
*I'm suggesting more so that the NMs have a natural resistance to mura/requiescat-type damage, not that the -DT directly affects them, sort of like umbrils.*
