Glasses friendly? Wonder how long it will be until you can try one out somewhere to see if you're compatible lol.
They're not very glasses friendly. I had better results wearing contacts. I'm near sighted so when I would wear the oculus rift the center part of the screen would look clear and everything on the edge would appear blurry. This went away when I wore contacts.
It was fun having to lean in to read menus in Elite Dangerous.
I'm near sighted, and my vision was absolutely fine in a headset.
Never tried a rift but I used google cardboard just fine near sighted.
Curious if you'll be charged now or when it ships. Wish I could try it though.
Its bad enough that I wear glasses all the time. I can't see things clearly until they're like 1-2 inches away from my face. The OR might be far away enough for that.
Also when I did the DK2 pre-order. They charged $50 and then hit the rest on shipping with a credit card.
If shipping works out anything like it did with the DK2. You won't get your hands on one until next month.

got it to load. With that price.... not this gen.
After taxes it's $700 ($1000 CAD). I haven't seen for other regions, yet.
Depending where people are in Europe, this is happening.
£499 for the uk.
Tried buying, triggered bank security, did that, tried again, still won't go through, gonna wait till tomorrow or something.

Welp, Oculus is DoA at that price point.
I tried buying a few times, even after bank security phoned and I cleared it with them, still didn't go through.
Had some time to think about it and seeing as shipping for orders is now may/june anyway, going to wait and see what vives pricepoint is.
I thought they were trying to keep this under $300-400? Why the hell would I early adopt at that price point?
Rationally, you wouldn't, unless you just have that amount of disposable income to not care. With the hidden price tag, pre-order countdown hype and limited supply, it's pretty obvious this was meant to be a high pressure sale.
