I can already hear May's run sound.
So would like GGXXR or whatever the fuck be good to help me train for this shiiiit?
Won't really know what the system is like until the loc test starts, but at least the little bits they've shown it looks pretty similar.
Accent Core Plus R is the most recent version. I believe the console versions are supposed to be getting a patch to bring it up to that level before the year is out, I think the only version fully up to date in the US is the Vita.
Realistically, the differences between AC and AC+R are relatively minor. If you start playing AC, then 95% of what you learn will carry over to +R. Whether or not that will carry over to Xrd, as Krandor pointed out, is yet to be seen. It surely can't hurt though.
And the vita version was free for PS+ a few weeks back so if you have a vita hopefully you got it then ;o
+R is up for JP GGXXAC on PSN. not sure if US release is out. 231MB
US doesn't have a definite day yet.
The move lists look mostly the same, so if you wanted to get a feel you can prolly jump into any version of the game.
Especially if you want to learn Venom like you said earlier, since he can be pretty awkward if you're mostly used to Capcom style games.
Even compared to BB, characters in GG can be really weird. Mechanics like Johnny's iaido/coin stuff or Robo-Ky in general are just strange compared to most fighting games.
try to get used to GGXXAC, learn specific mechanics about the character. AC+R has the same exact mechanics, but there are characters that got drastically changed from the balance like May losing her dolphin loop. That was actually part of her game.

My god this game is beautiful, i love that they brought back the taunt giving opponent meter. Don't like the hit stop thing but, what can you do? I trust elvenshadow's post very highly and if it's one person that knows gg like a religion inside and out, It's him.
