Yeah they did.
Love Sin's expression of pure "WTFMOM!?" during the Instant Kill.
The balance changes are actually reasonable.
Sin's means he can't be purely 100% stupid offense any more. Faulty Defense went from panicking about the notes to realizing he can still perform. He's still fucking around with Dizzy though.
You can actually play neutral against Elphelt instead of having to worry about her free buttons (still have to worry about 5K though). Bridal Express went from "You might be able to punish this" to "You can punish this shit free". Same with Air Bridal and Shotgun S (provided you IB the latter).
Johnny was too much of a wrecking ball to leave as he was.
Yup, i really like this. But i think they broke jam in the update, someone posted a stupid loop on dustloop that ignores her recovery frames on 5HS or something.
I find it interesting that they did effectively nothing to Leo.
Well as much as Leo is a nuisance online. He's not bad to deal with offline, they just made him slightly easier to hit while standing.
And man, that Venom 6P buff is the fucking truth holy shit.
I'm afraid of what guys like Proosh and 310 are going to be doing with that 6P buff.
I dig the Ky changes, but still wishing for crossup j.S to come back. At least we can hit all crouchers not named Faust now without having to be stupidly low to the ground on air dash. Got a better fuzzy out of it too. The Split Ciel stagger buff means we can now do c.S > 6K > SC > MD > c.S > 6K > SC > Stun Dipper now on most of the cast for a good chunk of damage/tension and knockdown, assuming they don't try to mash out of SC. Makes f.S/5H > Stun Dipper/Sacred Edge links easier otherwise.
One of these days I'll have to drop money into this. 'Cause, echoing but, the level of love in this game is fucking astounding. I played was Blazblue like 4 versions ago (CS2?) and tried out Tager and Mu. Aside from the obvious Potemkin is there anyone similar to either who's not too much of a hassle execution-wise?
This is a decent primer about Xrd and covers ease of use for the cast.

Sol and Ky are by far the easiest to use characters, followed by Leo and Sin (imo). No matter who you plan to play, learn Sol. Except for some dust loop stuff his execution requirement is very low and he's fantastic for learning fundamentals with.
Potemkin is not for the faint of heart and honestly unless you're name is FAB I wouldn't recommend it. While his damage potential is crazy town banana pants, the execution requirement for his corner corners is absolutely absurd.
I think I remember liking Ky long ago in some old version of XX. Thanks for the link.
More competition is welcome, i'm definitely gonna get back into this as i haven't touched much of revelator, but am going to give dizzy a try. I gotta relearn all my shit with May again, but that comes with muscle memory. I miss playing the shit outta this game w/ kran and tbr. Even at a low level execution play, the game is still a lot of fun and looks beautiful.
Online lag + Greed Sever notwithstanding, Ky is the most honest character in the game.
Leo online is still bullshit. Lol
Btw dizzy's stage is now my favorite stage, holy shit the little detail they added with the fairy appearing in front of your screen before round 2 starts is unbelievable. There's so much love in this game.
Picked up the game a few days ago. Been trying to learn it on stick and trying to not touch a pad, I'm trash tier at execution and movement with stick, lol. Been fooling around with Ky and Millia, both seem really fun, especially Millia.
off for the next 2 days, gonna just be playing brave frontier, and some xrd, anyone wanna get some games on, lmk.
Picked this up today finally. I'm fucking impressed by how much content there is even after hearing about it so much. Tutorial/Dojo is pretty great too. Decided that I want to try Ky, and Sin and Dizzy when my execution gets better.
