December 31 is still 2018!
People are (overly optimistically) guessing that since 2018 is 13 years after kh2, the game will release in July (7th month). To correlate with the 7 lights vs 13 darknesses lol.
...would be nice ._.
Subtitled version of the D23 trailer:

Think either Disney or SE will actually pay for Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, Wallace Shawn, John Ratzenberger, and R. Lee Ermey for this 90 second scene in a video game?
They've paid for talent in the past, but this is a tall order.
Square-Enix is one of the boycotted studios for VAs that are also in SAG-AFTRA. (eg. Ashly Burch not reprising Chloe in Life is Strange) So I wouldn't count on it unless Disney made one hell of an exemption for union VAs.
Tom Hanks I can't see doing Woody. His brother on the other hand I can. I say that because TH has notably made a point of pointing out that his brother does all his VO stuff for toys and videogames and etc in his place.
Depends TH did some woody lately unless his brother was busy

I'm not a big fan of Toy Story, but the level design and game play brought a genuine smile to my face. It's been far too long since KH2 came out.
Incoming late 2018 release date then a delay to Q2 2019.
I find it amusing people believe this could come out Q1 2018, it would be great if so but Q2 or Holiday Q4 2018 makes more sense.
not a big fan of story, u fuckin wut m8?
July 13, 2018 would be an awesome — albeit unlikely — release date with high symbolic meaning game-wise.
Refresh my memory why?

Yes. And not only that, 2018 marks the 13th anniversary since Kingdom Hearts 2.
