Did the DZ last night and ended up teaming up with two randoms. Had a good time and got lots of purples, but 90% of it was total crap. Two Qs:

1) What is the fastest method of farming PCs or high-ends right now? I am still a Barney with all purples and need some yellow in my life.
2) Is there a recommended PC purchase order? I was going to start with the Vector, but not sure from there.

Down for DZ farming tonight after I get back from the gym.

As I understand it, as of this moment, crafting is the (only) way to go. Vector, then maybe 3-stat holster, then w/e your biggest weakness is.

Best way to farm PC's is do the dailies. Named enemies can drop them too, but only in very small quantities.

I'm a beta like you though. Maybe an Alpha has a better plan for you.

Yeah total beta right now. I'm sitting at 88k DPS / 50k Health; I have been doing the dailies, but not the Challenge mode yet.

I spammed a lot of Lexington event center, it's hard when you can't find a decent group but if you get one that can clear quickly try to get them to stick around and do a few more

Stack dem smart covers and stun sticky mines are very nice for weak survival

Do you get a high end drop every time you do a challenging mission? Or only the daily one? Do you get 30 (iirc) PCs every time or just daily?

Just trying to understand why you'd spam. So far behind.

You get a 100% HE drop at the end and the boss can also drop a gold

I'm not sure if the 100% drop changes daily or what but sometimes it's holsters or kneepads or gloves or backpacks I know I've gotten chains of, didn't pay that much attention if the same drops were all on the same day

Watch it end up being the Invoker's set from D3 (pre-thorns patch); comprises 80% of your set drops and is total crap. Nice for solo DZ farming maybe though, but scavenging % should be way higher.

Striker's Set sounds ridiculously awesome. Also, you should be able to equip 1.5 sets at the same time given the stream had set pieces in every armor slot. Candidly, it sounds a bit OP unless Incursions is ridiculous.

Problem with the set pieces is, if I heard correctly, they have no talents on the individual pieces like HE's do. So you're giving up four (or more?) talents for the set bonuses. Not a bad tradeoff for some of the sets I guess.

I could be wrong but armor has a set of talents that can be assigned to it, for example backpack has talents that favor skill power and kneepads have credit bonuses. so those two are good candidates to replace if you are going for sentry/striker set bonus

So last night, I was in the DZ for a while solo, just killing enemies to rank up. I saw a 3- or 4-man team running around, doing the same as me. We got into a big battle at the oval shaped extraction point (DZ03 I think) and we killed all the mobs and extracted several times. Then later, I found them again in one of the subways; again we cleared it all out and all was cool.

Then I killed a group of Cleaners with a named guy (Hardaway?) ... he dropped a gold AUG, my second gold item drop ever. I grabbed it, and super-cautiously started heading to one of the DZ01 extraction points. I figured I'd be less likely to get overwhelmed by enemies I can easily handle, ya know? And sure enough, on my way there, the same crew I had peacefully coexisted with several times earlier decided to ambush me and steal my AUG.

I was salty as fuck.

If I'm solo and a gold drops when I'm around other players I leave it. Once they head out I come back and pick it up.

I neglected to mention that I was completely alone when I killed the named NPC. I guess there's a chance they were watching from a distance, but I would think a group has better things to do than watch a guy in almost all purples, slowly kill an NPC from a mile away. Who knows. Your advice is good though, and I will do that in the future.

I recommend the extraction at the right side of DZ03/04 if you're afraid of people.

The worst part about that is you literally just have no idea when someones gonna sneak up on you extracting and kill you as you're hooking the bag up or just sit there and act chill and then kill you... my initial response to this conundrum was to kill everyone I saw when it was time to extract and then do mine but that doesnt for me when theres more than one or two people there lol

so I end up running across the map to extract my shit alone
