Yeah I pretty much hit a wall with the 2nd boss and that spider boss. Have a feeling that spider boss is one of those "come back later and kill it" type of things. I made a typical warrior w/ brawler magic. That first spell with the clone doesn't really seem useful at all.

I absolutely love the armor and weapon designs in this game.

The combat will defiantly take some getting used too as it has a sort of realism to it, I guess. Unlike souls where majority of every weapon, heavy or not, feels like paper to swing.

edit: I've only really played Demons's Souls and an hour or so of Dark Souls 1 on pc. I have no experience with DS2.

I started as a brawler and the biggest issue I have with the game is you can basically brute force your way through the game. For normal mobs just use the jump attack, it's fast and does more damage. Any bigger mob, like the fat shield guys, just pop rage and jump attack and mash your attacks until it's dead. Same goes for every boss I have killed once you figure out their pattern you wait until the right moment pop rage and take off half their health.
The game is fun but once you figure it out the only difficulty is transversing the everything looks the same areas.
