Sorry, I'm sure this has been discussed, but on the official road map, under phase 4 it says:
* Those wishing to play on PlayStation®3 must purchase a copy of the game for that
system.
Does that just mean I need to pre-order?
So we know for sure that new and legacy characters in beta phase 4 carry over to retail release?
They don't want to guarantee progress will be carried over in the event some major exploit is found that screws up the economy, leveling curve, or some other aspect of the game. It's why they're doing these tests, bugfiixes and reading reports in stages. This way they can identify exactly when something went wrong and act appropriately. This happened in Neverwinter very recently is a good example of why thorough beta testing is important to the longevity of the game.
There has been an official response somewhere in the archives that says "Yes, beta phase 4 progress WILL carry over UNLESS there's some critical issue (like a gil exploit) that means they should roll things back."
Ah, thanks. That explains why I heard both things about phase 4.
Having trouble deciding on my appearance. Here's what I've got so far...
Spoiler for big.
Spoiler: show
Quick answer none of the above!
Something similar to this would do well.
So my girl said 1.0 characters on Legacy servers will be allowed a chance to facelift and change their character in phase 4? Anyone know any info about that? Also if this is true, would it be possible if you can change your starting class and city as well?
It's been said already When you will log for the first time on head start (or release) You will get the option to change your race/appearance + your name and your starting class also
Imagine that you have to start a new character from scratch and they implent your lvs/gear after character creation
Awesome. I became an instant fan of Pugilist & the Ul'dah storyline while playing phase 3. Would be a shame to have to start on elsewhere.
Yes, but the list of abilities everyone is talking about was data mined before SCH was confirmed. (I don't even know if we were arguing about the SCH artwork yet tbh)
There has been no minable data, afaik, that includes any actual Scholar information other than Arcanist abilities. (Which were very DoT/Pet based)
SCH becoming mainstream in ff14 would be too hot.
For P4 I want to play it like release and wish they won't wipe it. it's better then not playing in case they wipe it and they finally keep it
