Xcel is in St. Paul, which is connected to Minneapolis, has over 3 million people, and is accessible by public transportation including a free shuttle from a bunch of places.
Jobing is an hour+ drive from the east/south sides of Phoenix, last I checked they never got the shuttle device they wanted to do together. Driving an hour in rush hour after work to watch a game that you can't really have a few beers at because you have to drive an hour back, then getting home at 11-12 at night on a work night isn't palatable to a lot of people.
Yea, St. Paul is just across the river to Minneapolis, it's not even the same lol. Plus people in Minnesota as a whole, actually give a damn about hockey, unlike 98% of Arizona. Most of the hockey fans there are retirees from Chicago, Detroit, New York, etc, markets with a strong hockey following. Granted there are some actual Yote fans, but the only time they really ever sell out their arena is when other bigger market teams come to play. They couldn't even sell out the place when they made it to the conference finals last year, which is troubling for any owner expecting to make money.
I can tell it's getting closeer to HACKEY TIME because the fighting is starting!
If I had to pick top 3 logos, I would probably go with the Jets current logo, the Sabres current logo, and Coyotes (with Nashville and Chicago right behind them).
The Habs logo is definitely right up there with the shittiest logos.
The Izzy has spoken.
I declare it law!
Funny how people are all over it now, yet on the day it was unveiled it was like "LOLOLOL worst thing I've seen since the Picasso coyote!" or "All I read is JEWS, and can't unsee it" for the shoulder crest
I'll give you the transit, but Glendale is no less "connected" to Phoenix, and they have 4.5 million people. As for the distance, I looked at a map. It would take an hour from the *furthest point* away from Glendale all the way on the other side of the metro area. Most areas it's probably 30 minutes or less. This is kinda my main point.
Anyway, we've got four more years to beat on this horse, so let's talk about Jagr on the Devils or some shit.
HOW MANY CUPS HAS YOUR TEAM WON?!?!?
This year?
this past decade?
inb4 Chicago Black Cocks retort at some point
In 50 years Canadiens fans are going to be the most depressed group of people when they lose their single solitary comeback
In 50 years when Jaromir Jagr is still stringing teams along each July like "I got one more year left..."
