Assuming that Komorov would sign for 2.5-3, and Franson and Kadri for ~4M, and including the caphits from the buyouts of Armstrong and Tucker, they STILL are under 60M. Fill the bench with your typical scrubs (hell it can even be Orr....) and this team would destroy the team that is currently built, and is cheaper too. Failure.

Bozak was signed because there was no better option, you're viewing Grabo as an option, can't you see he's not? He didn't get along with Carlyle, nor was he going to, you seen his leaving statement right? He clearly was not happy in Toronto, and I don't think Carlyle was gonna lose his job over that. So Bozak was the best option available, could've tried for Weiss I guess? But he's a little injury prone, so we have Bozak.

Even if Grabovski was gone regardless, Bozak is not, was not, will never be any kind of "best option" except for Phil Kessel's best option as a scapegoat for not scoring more. Filppula, Weiss, Ribeiro would have all been large upgrades. The only redeeming factor for Bozak will be if it helps re-sign Kessel.
