Imagine thinking that car scene was dumb.

Enjoyed the movie a lot.
Black Panther has surpassed $630 million domestically, making it the highest grossing superhero film in American history, surpassing the previous record held by The Avengers.
I saw it again.
I'll be totally honest. It was good but not like holy ballsack good.
The only part of it that didn't blow away my expectations was the final fight, and I expected it to be great.
Can you elaborate? You say it's top tier but not the best, but how much of a difference are we talking? It's not a pioneer in cinematography, but I'm of the opinion that the top like 5 marvel movies are pretty close in their...top tierness? So much so that labeling which movie is "the best" probably just comes down to which movie has your favorite actor in it. This movie is probably my second or third favorite marvel movie, but that's only because I really enjoy the Tony stark banter, which is lacking here.

I would put it at #4
1) IM1
2) Cap #1
3) GotG
4) BP/Avengers
IM1's tone and story was quite a lot better than anything else in MCU for me.
I'd say cap2 is much better than 1. But other then that I like it.

After a second viewing I think it squeaks into my top 5, but only barely.
1. Winter Soldier
2. Iron Man
3. Guardians Vol. 2
4. Civil War
5. Black Panther
Ragnarok, Homecoming, Avengers, and Guardians are the films that miss the cut.
The only movie I get upset at not being in the top 3 is IM1.
Iron Man is the only Marvel film so far that's better than its sequels. Guardians is close, I'd call those two pretty much dead even.
Avengers is better than its sequel but we all know that's going to change a month from today.
