How do you move the active help text boxes for your actions? Sick of mousing over a CD and having the description for vengeance cover half my bar.
Love threads like this.
Battle mode.
Craft mode.
Clever idea with the crystals, but is there a reason why it's visible on a job that's clearly not a DoH? If I were to do that, I assume I'd throw them on bars that aren't shared across classes, so they'd only show up when I'm on DoH (and maybe L) classes.
May I ask what the point is of having them shown? Or just so you can see how many you have at all times?
I have a macro that hides/unhides those hotbars as well as a few more items. Params, gil, and probably a couple other things I don't remember.
As mentioned above, I have a macro that hides/unhides them. It's so I can see how many I have when I want/need to. Especially useful when I'm about to sit down to craft, I can be sure I'll have enough to last the session instead of having to run back and forth to buy shards when I need more.
Yea, that's kinda what I was thinking. Quick to open with Alt+I for me. No reason to have it displayed ever, or make a macro to display when... well Alt+I does it. (And if it doesn't just go set it up sillies!)
I love these threads. Makes me re-organize my HUD over and over and over again.
Still working on finding a good location for target window.
Potions/Chocobar/LB are shared. Gearsets are on bars 2 and 10 which I get to via scrolling up/down. Skill layouts may look odd, but the bars are just basic 1-0, shift 1-0, ctrl 1-0, etc etc. I use a Nostromo + Razer Hex so I have them where they're easiest to hit based on how those are programmed, and not necessarily where they'd make sense on the bar. First 3 bars are 100% keybound, with binds just hidden.
The main thing I hate about setting up bars in this game is the fact that I'll have them layed out differently for every job, which leads to empty spaces and such and I can't set them up to look nice and neat for everything.
Is there a way to center or lock HUD elements to the grid?
While you're dragging a HUD element hold ALT or CTRL.
Shift works too, and as I recently discovered you can "nudge" items by using 2 4 6 8 on the num pad.
Cleaned up significantly; shrunk a lot of elements and added buttons to rotate class change hotbar and hide certain bars for combat.
For a slightly recent comparison, well...
Spoiler: show
I don't see the difference.
lol
That's not how you're supposed to hold a sword btw. ^^
Started playing again, liking that the sizes can be further reduced.
