Who are we?

Resonate is a Free Company based on hardcore progression on a not-so-hardcore timeframe. All of our members are avid theorycrafters, who love talking numbers, stats, and optimizations. We seek out every piece of information we can find on new encounters, new changes, and anything else that will help us be better players. By default we stay several steps ahead of the curve; if this sounds like your approach to the game, you should feel right at home.

The foundation of Resonate lies in our core members who raided together in World of Warcraft. I started and launched Resonate (a rebranded Carebears) at the end of Cataclysm, and over the next three tiers the guild went from conception to a US 13th Heroic: Lei Shen kill. Our plan at the launch of FFXIV:ARR is to meet and exceed these results.

Since this is the very start of FFXIV:ARR, our roster remains unfilled. Our current goal is to run a roster of ~28 people, which will change based on what we feel we need. With raids requiring a full 24 player roster, we need to ensure we're always able to raid on schedule. However, we do recognize that real life happens. Running a roster of this size prevents us from having to cancel raids if someone cannot make it.

Our raid environment is laid back, fun, and often full of sarcasm and jokes. However when we need to focus and play hard, we do. When a new fight is being worked on we expect Mumble to be clear and everyone to be focused on the encounter in progress. Our FC is full of (relatively) mature and adult players, so you should expect some lewd humour and R rated talk from time to time. If you are offended by Louis CK for example, our Mumble probably won't be a comfortable place for you to spend the roughly 8 or so hours per week.
