Yeah wished it was Bryan Cranston, he said he was interested in playing Lex Luther too :/. What's the age difference between Superman and Lex Luthor suppose to be? Jesse Eisenberg looks way younger than Henry Cavil.

Depends on which version of DC history we're talking about, but generally speaking they're the same basic age, if not in the same high school class.

Well in Superman Birthright Clark and Lex were friends as children. They did bring Mark Waid to consult when they wrote the first one and I'm guessing this will be used as inspiration. Tbh I imagine the whole movie being like a shit version of Birthright with random DC heroes thrown in for no other reason than to set up JL movie.

They likely changed his origin around again after the New 52 reboot, but the most recent established origin (Secret Origin by Geoff Johns) also had him and Lex growing up together in Smallville.

I know you said "looks," but technically both actors are the same age. People keep using pictures of him where he looks particularly young, while excluding ones like this:

...where he looks more like a 30 year-old.

Which isn't to say I'm for or against their choice. I'm willing to wait and see, but I certainly would have liked to have seen what Cranston would have done with the role.

I don't get this fandom for Cranston to play a villain. Sure he did great job on Breaking Bad, but it doesn't make him a go to guy for a bald main villain for everything.

I'm skeptical she'll bulk up much further. Not exactly many buff female celebrities and I could see it hurting her post-filming options if she gets too big and needs to do like jack shit for half a year to slim down.
