#1! (I like that hair on Roe...)
#1! (I like that hair on Roe...)
Final character after a week or so of changing things, and after trying it out with the face paint at the end of last beta.

Okay, think I've got it for good now.
Combining a scar with an odd eye is pretty badass.
Ya that's sick
Yeah, the white is supposed to signify blindness. Would've slightly preferred the Midlander but there was no scar option except over the nose bridge
Huh. Didn't even think about it being blind! Very cool
I really like my Midlander design! Gonna mess around with some more races/genders, but I think this is the one I'm gonna go with.

Making last minute tweaks, can't decide between these hair styles/colors for my Midlander.
(#2 being my original pick)

Simple and clean...
With the classic though, I just, do I want to keep the EXACT same thing as the last decade. I will admit though, it is an absolutely perfect reproduction. And that picture, there's no makeup whatsoever, so can't really screw it up. The only issue I had in P3 is, in cutscenes and dungeon victory screens, the cheekbones are a bit chubbier in game than they look in the creator. And I'll likely drop the cheek scars, they don't really work, I just have them in the picture because I used them in P3.
Yes, those highlights don't quite work on straight hair because of the textures, it's a bit better if you go a little darker, but you don't get quite the same effect (and it's the ONLY way to off color the ears).
But that is the only damned long hair variant miqo'te get =\ and I'd kind of like to use it. Though you do get some interesting things if you take the pattern to other hairstyles, though hair #1 is the one that looks really good (it looks better in the benchmark than my screenshot)
(Note with 1 and 2, the highlighting actually colors the ears themselves, handy to know.)
Here's the strictly Keeper eyes version you mentioned
And here's a V2 of the Seeker, I've changed to thinner brows, and lightened the dark eye by one step to the left.
EDIT: Hmmm
While it may be classic XI, Face 4/the dark nose really only works with the darker skin tone, and the darker skin tone doesn't really suit as wide a variety of hair colors as pale skin.
Since I CAN'T change face type or skin color, I believe I'll have to go with Face 3 and light skin. And if you take the quote Laelani has below strictly, that means tattoo marks (understandable) and lipstick (>.>) can't change, while eye color can (strange). Plane Jane it is.
Was toying around with hair style. I do prefer the longer style, but after seeing how they clipped on the gladiator/paladin armor...never mind.
I am having similar indicision between those hairstyles #1 & #3.
However, I'm not too worried about getting sick of hairstyles, haircolor, facepaint, etc. I think I have everything set except eye color since that's something permanent.
I just wish there was a freckles option. I want some fucking freckles.

With the barbershop coming down the line soon, the only thing I'm worried about with my characters is making sure the facial features all jive with me since facepaint and hair will be able to be changed.
I wonder if the barbershop extends to retainers though...

Ready for battle!
Eye color is permanent? Was this a mistranslation?
Q16: What features will we be able to change in the barber shop?
A16: You will be able to change your character’s hairstyle, hair color, eye color, face paint, color of the face paint, and beard.
We currently plan to release the barber shop feature in patch 2.1 (initial patch), so please don't stress too much when creating your character!
Weird, they must have gone back on that one at some point... or mistranslated. They had originally seemed to make clear that you can only change realistically non-permanent features, leaving things like scars and eyes permanent.
Well, shit, I think I'm set then. Eye color was the last thing I was stressing over.
Eye contact shop?
Now tanning salon pls.
