It's a bit comical that you picked the videos posted on the Japanese YouTube account. Asia is the only region still waiting for the patch to drop. New season starts in about 17 hours, and we still don't have the patch that it will be played on. Smart stuff.
Did the event and all associated achieves yesterday. A few hours of gameplay, but I had fun. Butcher pet looks great if you care about pets.
wait, what? wheres the event?
Starts at Old Ruins waypoint. Event entrance is SW of waypoint. Achieves are listed under General - Special Events.
I ran the event starting with a lv1, and after killing the Dark Lord I accidentally skipped the cutscene.
So, I ran it again on another character, having to restart several times due to interruptions. I finally finish it, only to see that it's the original Diablo end cutscene.
-_-
How do people find groups in this game? I've always played solo but want to get into group rift/grift/paragon farming this season.
After having played this game for how long, it literally just occurred to me minutes ago that you can use the cube and crafted follower relics to get the immortal ones for them.
I feel like such a fucking moron for never having realized this.
I've been cockblocked on solo progression for my Monk by lack of a second Unity/Immortal Follower, at least one of those two is down.
2.5.0 PTR patch notes went up. Includes Armory, Primal Ancients (another tier above Ancient), and no more Bonus Acts (all acts by default will award the same amount as the bonus act previously did)

Yay for bounties, meh on primals if they don't make some way to upgrade gear.
pretty bare patch overall. guess theyre running on fumes
Primal Ancients is such a lazy, miserable idea. It is rightfully being eviscerated on reddit and inven.
Primal Ancients, lol.
My issue is more they're not really doing enough with it. As is, it felt like 1% chance of an item dropping as primal, or more like 10% chance an Ancient is Primal.
I've suggested it to them before, but we really should be able to fully enhance our equipment. Get a sword with +600 STR, but the cap is 750? Instead of wasting your Mystic reroll on it, you could throw craft mats at it at the Blacksmith to increase that value, costs increasing the closer you get to 750. Now extend that to all affixes and you could eventually get a perfect item. Do it for an ancient and you could then convert that to a primal, where caps are again higher, but then you could select an additional primary affix at the Mystic.
It's still power creep, sure, but it's less about hoping RNG is in favor and more about dedication. Good drops can shorten the journey, sure, but we'd never have a case of a Primal never, ever dropping, let alone with usable rolls.
That's a fine idea and all, but the crazy layers of RNG is just a fact of life in these kinds of games and I doubt it'll ever change.
A lot of really good quality of life changes and one huge unnecessary RNG layer. Adding some kind of mat that drops at high tier GR and lets you upgrade ancients to primal ancients would be more palatable than just another level of RNG.
chances of getting a perfect/usable ancient was already 5% or less, getting a perfect primal is sub 1% territory.
