XIV downloader

There's no pause for the downloader and I kinda need the bandwidth for something else atm. If I were to close the downloader, would I lose what's been downloaded so far, or does it resume from where it's started.

Would like a confirmation rather than a guess, due to my location atm and download speed, not something I'd want to do unless I was 100% sure (for phase 4 beta)

There is 4 update files for the 7 gig total

If you complete some files then you will have to download the other files

Exemple

4 files 1.5 gig total makes 6gig If you finish one file and close the launcher you will have 4.5 gig left but if a file is not finish you will restart that file

So i dunno your at 5.5gig on 6 which means 3/4 files if you close the launcher you will have to redo 1.5 gig which is the last file

At least that's what my friends told me

ah kk, I'll just suck it up then. .12mb/sec lol don't want to start any of it over. Unless someone is hosting the files

when I restarted because my router is crap, I had to start over from scratch. and I was like 65% done

You will always restart at 0 the important is the total gig left

Friend started at 6.5 like all and when he dced he restarted at 0/3gig

thats the Phase 4 Beta Client. but what about the full game. do i just use that?

Phase 4 is the live client. If that torrent isn't updated, it'll just download the patch on top of it.

then there has to be another update for the full game since the site says 20 gigs. and its just 9.5 gigs right now.

They usually give more room to allow for patches and stuff.

I know it updated again today, so it was probably the patches to fix errors. I didn't pay attention to the size though.

oh it was small. but still they didnt really tell the V1.0 players on how they get the game, just been posting about the betas
