The next game in the Yakuza series is Yakuza: Ishin (Yakuza: Restoration), Sega announced during the series character general election results in Tokyo today.

Platform and additional details were not announced. Further information is expected in the August 22 issue of Weekly Famitsu.

I'm still waiting for Yakuza 5... We'll never gonna get it, nor will be ever get this one either. One of the few console exclusives that I like and they don't localice them.

I agree but to be fair the series really isn't that popular over here. I've been on board since the first one and I love them to death. So it sucks that these will probably never come our way.

Digital Upgrade Program member confirmed, $10 to upgrade

Yakuza Restoration is a PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 launch title slated for release on February 22, 2014. Just like Call of Duty: Ghosts and Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, you will be able to upgrade from the PS3 to PS4 version of the game.

Sega set the price for the upgrade as 1,000 yen ($10). You can upgrade from the PlayStation 3 to PlayStation 4 version between February 22 to June 30.
